Hey guys, so that last update was on Friday, only because I wanted you guys to know that I really was taking it off hold. I have decided, I will be updating on Mondays from now on. It'll be like, a treat, since Monday sucks so much. Anyway, I'll get on with the chapter.

Vic's POV

Paige and I decided that we were going to go to Jaime's place that night, I mean, Jaime invited us over because everyone was having a get together. It was Pierce plus everyone we were dating. Like every time Jaime invited us over, basically.

Paige and I ended up not going on our date, we didn't feel like it. Plus, she was having her suicidal thoughts return, and I just needed to worry about her.

Paige and I were laying in my bed, cuddling. We had been watching some older Disney movies, and she had fallen asleep in my arms. I turned off the movie, and played music on my phone, softly, not wanting to disrupt her sleep. Our Last Night came on, their song Sunrise.

Sunrise was such a powerful song, I have seen so many Pierce the veil fans that were older, and tattooed 'You can make it to the sunrise' somewhere on them. I of course, asked some of those fans why they had it. The responses always made me sad. One story stood out the most.

"What's that tattoo for?" I asked, pointing to the tattoo on her arms that said 'You can make it to the sunrise'.

"It's from a song," She replied after taking a deep breath. "Why, do you want to know the story behind it.?"

"Yeah, but if you don't want to explain it, you don't have to." I explained, letting her know that she didn't have to tell me why she had that tattoo.

"It's fine, it's like a battle mark to me, letting me know I won a war. Here's the story, I was eleven when this began, I had a really good friend of mine, kill himself, two weeks later, my dad died. By this time, I had already been self harming for one year. My self harming and suicidal thoughts got worse, but I had music to help me, Pierce the veil helped the most, but then one day, I discovered Our Last Night. I discovered them, the night before I was planning on ending my life," She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, I could tell she was about ready to cry. "I heard their song Sunrise, and it gave me the extra bit of hope I needed to hold on longer. It gave me the hope to get help for my depression." I then saw some tears fall down her cheeks.

I pulled her into a tight hug and didn't let go for a good five minutes.

Hearing that girl's story, it broke my heart. She had said she was self harming since she was ten, and only got worse, it hurt to hear that from someone to young and beautiful and full of life. When she told me that the song Sunrise gave her the little push to hold on and get help, melted my heart. That night, I looked up the song, and fell in love with it.

The song Sunrise reminded me of my teen years, back when I was self harming and thought about killing myself every night until I had met Paige. She was my sunrise. And when my sunrise left, I got worse, of course I didn't cut or attempt suicide, but my depression got worse, and the only reason I didn't do those things was because Paige had promised me too.

I didn't move from the bed, as Paige curled into my side and slept soundly. I just sat there and admired her pure beauty. Hey hair was so beautiful as it's natural brunette color. Her skin was so clear. She was so small, but it made me feel even more protective of her. I couldn't let her get hurt, ever again. There was just this feeling I had, that if I didn't protect her as much as I possibly could, she'd break.

As I lay there, Paige sleeping in my arms, I played with her hair. She began to stir. "Vic.?" Paige whispered to me as she yawned.

"Yes, Paige.? I replied softly.

"I miss waking up like this every morning..."

"I miss it too. Oh, I've missed it more than anything." I responded, kissing her head softly.

And that was not a lie. And it never would be.
