Twenty-Five

"You're pregnant?!" Elizabeth jumps out of her seat with wide eyes. I nod, also standing. "Oh my God!" she shrieks, running over to me, almost knocking me down with a hug.

Everyone also stands, laughs, and even some claps of excitement are heard. "I'm pregnant." I laugh, nodding when we pull away. Tears are pooling up in my eyes, I can barely even see.

"Congratulations." she smiles, hugging me again.

I blink, tears streaming down my face immediately. "Thank you."

"I can't believe you didn't tell me!" she exclaims, shaking her head.

I laugh. "I really wanted to tell Juan first this time."

"I get it." she nods smiling.

"Wow. My baby sister is having a baby of her own." Oscar smiles, pulling me in for a hug once Elizabeth has moved onto congratulating Juan.

I nod. "Can you believe it?" I laugh, wiping at the corners of my eyes as we pull apart.

"No." he smiles, shaking his head. "Congratulations, Anna. You're gonna be an amazing mom."

"Stop." I laugh, fanning my hands over my face. "You're gonna make me cry even more."

He chuckles, nodding. "Okay, I'm done."

Everyone congratulates Juan and I one by one. Mark, Joel, Angelica, Hailey, and even quiet little Max. My dad is the last, and probably the most emotional. "Dad." I laugh, pulling him in for a hug. His eyes are glazed over, full of tears.

"I'm so happy for you, mija." he says as he squeezes me gently.

I pull away, smiling. "Thank you. Dad, what's up?" I ask, wiping away his tears as they fall.

"It's just..." we walk over to one of our seating areas, getting more privacy from everyone who has begun eating. "I'm really happy I'm able to be apart of this all. Of seeing you get married, of seeing you become a mother. It's all so beautiful." he chuckles, shaking his head.

I take a seat next to him, and nod. "I'm glad you're here for it too."

"I never thought I'd be in your guys lives again after I first saw you again at the restaurant. You were just so angry and hurt, I was certain I'd never see you again." he shrugs. "It's just really amazing to be here too all of this, that's all."

I grab his hand and squeeze it gently. "Yeah, I know, I feel the same way sometimes. I'm really glad you're in our lives again." I smile, nodding. "Come on, let's go eat." I stand, and he hugs me once more before we each walk towards the table. Everyone is conversing, eating away. My dad takes his seat that Angelica saved for him at the end of the table, and I take my seat besides Juan at the head of the table.

"What was that about?" Juan asks, referring to my dad and I walking off.

I wave my hand dismissively. "Just a little moment we had." I shrug, smiling.

He nods, kissing my cheek gently. He clears his throat, getting everyone's attention. "So I think this goes without saying, but we want to keep the pregnancy a secret from the media for as long as possible. We'd appreciate it if all of this stayed here. No talking about it with anyone else." Juan says, nodding.

Oscar nods, along with everyone else. "Got it. Our lips are sealed, right guys?" he asks everyone, and they nod again.

"We still haven't told Juan's family either, but we're going to soon. We just want the news to stay within the family for as long as possible." I smile, looking over at Juan.
