"Okay, so what's the plan for today?" Juan asks me as we both walk down the stairs in the morning a few weeks later.
I sigh, looking over the entrance of our home that has all of our suitcases from when we went to Colombia for a couple of weeks still sitting there. "We should definitely unpack today."
"No." Juan groans, shaking his head. "That's the last thing I want to do."
I laugh. "Juan, we've been putting it off for days now."
"And?"
"And we should get it done before we do anything else today." I say, giving him a knowing look.
He rolls his eyes, walking towards the suitcases that are just waiting to be unpacked. "Fine. But I want to go eat somewhere after." he says, grabbing two suitcases and making his way back up the stairs.

"See? That wasn't too bad." I smile, giving Juan a kiss once we're done unpacking our clothes.
He nods. "I guess. But now I'm starving. Where are we going?"
"I don't know." I shrug. "You choose. Let's just get dressed." I say.
I chose a basic cardigan and plain white t-shirt paired with a pair of jeans for my outfit of the day. I also took an extra thirty minutes on my makeup for today.
"The fact that your style is so much better than mine is honestly embarrassing." I say, shaking my head as I look over Juan's outfit from my sink in the bathroom as I finish putting on my lipstick.
He laughs loudly, walking over to me from his sink. "You still look a million times more beautiful than I ever could in anything." he smiles, cupping my face in his hands.
"Mmmhm." I narrow my eyes at him. "You're just saying that."
He shakes his head, bringing his lips down onto mine. "I one hundred and ten percent mean what I said."
I stare at him for a few more seconds once he's pulled away before laughing a little. "You got lipstick on your teeth."
He turns to look at himself in the mirror to the side of us. "It's a great look, no?" he turns back to me, giving me a goofy smile.
I laugh loudly now, bringing him closer to me, smashing my lips into his, giving him a sloppy kiss, and letting the lipstick spread all over his face. "Definitely." I smile, nodding.
We both turn to look at ourselves in the mirror. "We look like clowns." Juan chuckles, shaking his head as he reaches for some tissues on the side of my sink. "Here." he passes me a tissue, wiping his own lips of the lipstick.
"Okay, just let me get this lipstick back on and we can leave." I laugh, wiping my lips as well.
He nods, checking himself in the mirror once more, making sure no lipstick is left all over his face and teeth. "Alright, I'll be waiting for you downstairs."
"Okay." I nod, beginning to apply the lipstick again. He gives me a kiss on the cheek before making his way out of the bathroom.

"Thank you." I thank the waitress who brings out our food, waiting for her to walk away before continuing my conversation with Juan. "So," I begin. "what are we doing for your birthday this year?"
He gives me a weird look. "That's...six months away, amor." he says, picking up a piece of sushi from his plate.
I nod. "Well, yeah...but there's nothing wrong with planning ahead of time. We could do something bigger for your birthday this year. More planned out. The party we did at your house that one time was a mess." I laugh, shaking my head.
"Even your birthday is coming up sooner than mine." he chuckles. "Let's talk about what to do for yours."
I shake my head. "No, I'm fine. We can do dinner at the house or something. Your birthday is the one that sucked last time." I smile. "You got punched in the face."
He laughs. "Yeah, okay. Fair enough."
"Exactly."
"But I don't know what I want to do, honestly." he shrugs.
I sigh. "Okay, fine. I'll talk to Manuela and your mom about it."
"Perfect." he nods. "You just tell me where to be and when to be there."
I laugh, rolling my eyes. "Fine. Just know it's gonna be epic."
"I'm sure it will be." he nods, smiling.
"So," I say, clearing my throat. "We're just over two months of marriage, are you tired of me yet?" I ask, amused to hear what he has to say.
He chuckles, shaking his head. "Of course not. Well, actually-" he shrugs and I kick him under the table, causing him to laugh loudly. "I'm kidding, bonita. I've loved these two months more than anything."
I grin, looking down. "Yeah, I have too. And we still have so much more to do."
"A whole lifetime." he smiles.
I nod. "A whole lifetime."

Hey guys! I'm so sorry this chapter took a long to get out! My laptop wasn't working for a few days, so that played a big part in it. I'll try to have another chapter up soon! Look forward to Juan's big party on his actual birthday next year ;)
