Eight Months Later

"Can you believe we're on our way to our wedding?!" I wiggle around excitedly in my seat, smiling over at Juan who's texting someone on his phone next to me.

He sends the message quickly and turns off his phone, turning to look at me with a smile. "I know. Crazy isnt it? Eight months ago I was asking you to marry me, and now we're on our way to get married."

Well, we arent getting married quite yet. Juan and I are on his private plane on our way to the location of our wedding. After going back and forth between two places for our wedding to be at, we chose Hawaii. At first we thought Paris because thats where we had gotten engaged, but Hawaii felt like the obvious choice. It was one of our best vacations as a couple ever. We felt such a good vibe there, and had gone back several times in these last eight months. Especially once we decided that's where we wanted to get married. We hired the best wedding planner in LA, and had him come with us countless amounts of times to design our dream wedding.

"Who were you texting?" I ask, resting my head on his shoulder.

"Manuela. They just boarded the private jet." Juan and I wanted to make every minute of this trip to Hawaii special, so we decided to rent out a private jet for our closest friends and family to fly on, leaving us alone in his own jet. "Your brothers have boarded already too." he adds.

I nod. "What about Eduardo?"

"Them too." he looks down at me nodding. "Elizabeth just texted me too." Over the last eight months a lot has happened. Eduardo and I's relationship has...evolved, I guess you can say. Him and I are closer than we used to be, that's for sure. I love him, as weird as that sounds for me to say. There's still things that I think will never be normal about us. He didnt raise me, and there's still things he learns about me everytime we talk that everyone in my life except him knows, and that's always just a big reminder that he left us. I try to look past it though. Mark and even Oscar can stand to have decent conversations with him, which I never saw happening. Oscar apologized for the things he said to me in Mark's back yard a little bit after I got home from Paris. I forgave him, and it's as if nothing had ever happened between the two of us. Oscar and Elizabeth. Well, they're kind of...exploring a relationship together now. I think. I dont know exactly what's going on there, and I dont ask either. If I see them making out, I just look the other way. I dont want to get caught up in that if things take a turn for the worse, so I just stay out of it completely. I never ask, but Elizabeth talks to me about it from time to time. All in all, it's been a pretty eventful eight months.

He gets another message and looks down at his face, smiling a moment later. "And our house is being moved into as we speak." Juan and I decided that we didnt want to offically move into a home together until we were married. We bought a home about three months ago and have been working with an interior designer to get it perfect ever since. Because the home wasnt ready yet, Juan and I have just been going back and forth between his house in Colombia and my apartment in LA. Because Juan is still working on his album and isnt out touring and promoting a new ablum, his schedule is pretty flexible.

"How exciting." I smile. "God, I cant wait to see what it looks like."

"I cant wait to start this new life with you." he says, pulling me into his side so my head is rested on his shoulder.

I nod. "Yeah, that too. But mostly the house." I joke, looking up at him with a smile.

"Very funny." he says, narrowing his eyes at me.

I laugh, cupping his cheek and bringing him down for a kiss. "You know I'm kidding. I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

"You look beautiful." Anjelica smiles, pulling me into a hug. "I'm so happy for the two of you." Anjelica and I have gotten along great since she married Eduardo. She's super sweet and always tries her best to let me know she's here for me whenever I need her.

"Thank you." Juan smiles as she pulls him in for a hug as well. We've been in Hawaii for about two days and tomorrow is finally the big day. Laila's dads restaurant is hosting our dinner party tonight. Laila and I have gotten a lot more close in these past few months. We kept in touch ever since Juan and I left Hawaii the first time, and she's been out to LA  a few times and even came with me to visit Juan in Colombia once.

"How does it all look?" she asks, coming up beside me as Juan gets dragged away to take pictures with his parents and sister.

I nod. "Beautiful. Thank you so much for organizing all of this."

She shrugs, smiling. "It was pretty fun." she bumps my shoulder with hers. "Why didn't you guys just have regular old fashioned bachelor and bachelorette parties?"

"Juan didn't want one. He said we should just celebrate together. We both really liked the idea when we went to my Dad's rehearsal dinner for their wedding. We thought it was cute." I shrug.

"Thats your dad right?" she asks, pointing in the direction of Eduardo and Anjelica who are seated at table number four and are chatting with Juan. I nod. "He's hot."

I wack her arm. "Ew! Thats my dad!" I exaliam .

She shrugs. "Sorry." I roll my eyes, laughing.

We talk for a few more minutes before Juan comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist as he rests his head on my shoulder. "Hey." he whispers into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. Laila smiles, walking away, giving us a moment.

I turn so that I'm facing him. "Hey." I give him a quick peck. "What's up?"

"That ocean is bringing back a lot of good memories right about now." he says lowly, looking behind me at the ocean.

I gulp loudly, already feeling hot. "Not right now. Maybe later." I smile, rolling my eyes.

"We have a tradition, you know that. We cant just break it now." he's right. We've kind of made it a tradition to have sex in the ocean everytime we come to Hawaii, which has been often since we began to plan the wedding.

I laugh, shaking my head. "I said later." I say, pushing him away from me. "Lets just call it the after party." I shrug, walking away from him and towards Anjelica and Eduardo's table.
