"Oh, god. I think I might throw up." I say, pacing back and forth with one hand on my stomach and the other on my throat.
"Adrianna, chill out." Oscar sighs, standing in front of me. "And take this back, I feel ridiculous holding it." he says, shoving my bouquet back into my hands.
I shake my head, breathing heavily. "I didn't think I was gonna get this nervous. Holy fuck, I cant do this. I'm gonna puke on him!" I shriek.
He puts both of his hands on my shoulders. I look up at him, gulping nervously. "Anna, calm down. You're gonna be fine. It's normal to feel this way before getting married. Now, I'm supposed to be walking you down that aisle any minute now, can you calm down a little bit? Just enough so that you're not a shaking mess."
I nod slowly, taking a deep breath in. "Okay, yeah. Yeah, okay." I get out of his hold, continuing to take deep breaths in and out as I pace back and forth slowly. The drive to where we were having our ceremony was only about three minutes, and I felt no nerves at all until we reached the place. We were dropped off in a little secluded area that Juan and I would walk to right after we got married. We planned on walking here together, to get a moment to ourselves and then the photographers would come in to take pictures of us. It was cute with three walls full of greenery, and some flowers mixed in here and there. Perfect for pictures. We also had a tall table with a bottle of champagne that was ready for Juan and I to open once we were married. We're currently waiting on one of our wedding planners to come get us so that we could make our way down the aisle.
"You're gonna be fine. Trust me." he smiles, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
I close my eyes, resting my head on his shoulder. We stay like that for a few moments before someone interrupts us by clearing their throat. I open my eyes to see Michael, one of our wedding planners looking at us with a wide smile. "You guys ready?" he asks excitedly.
I feel my heart beating insanely quickly again. Great. Just when the nerves were going away. I look over at Oscar who gives me an encouraging smile and nod. "How do I look?"
"Like the most beautiful bride ever." he responds, kissing my temple. "Let's go." he says, sticking out his left arm for me.
I look down at his arm, hesitantly looping mine through his. "Okay, I think I'm ready." I nod, letting out one final deep breath. The warmth of Oscars body and my deep breathing keep me calm for the most part.
"Wait right here." Michael smiles when we're a good distance from the aisle. We're still hidden away so I cant be seen just yet. The low mummers of everyone can be heard as we wait. "When the music begins to play, you guys start walking. Got it?" he asks, holding both thumbs up.
Oscar and I both nod. He says something into the headpiece he has on and a few seconds later the classic 'here comes the bride' tune is played by the band we hired for this exact moment. "Let's do this." Oscar smile, leading us down a few steps before we can be seen by all of our guests. As hard as Juan and I tried to keep our wedding small, we couldn't. Juan had far too many close friends and family that he really wanted to invite, so we ended up with just over two hundred guests, which is surprisingly large considering we were having a destination wedding. "Holy shit. This is gorgeous." Oscar whispers as we begin walking down the aisle.
I couldn't agree more. Everything looks just as I had imagined it. The whole area smells strongly of roses, which is also something I had imagined when we first started designing our aisle and alter.
