Secret Mission

  After everything that happened to me, I needed some time to myself to get some stress out. I decided to go to the gym and box with some guys. Kevin and Matt went with me to watch me box which was fun since they always cheer me on...We got into the gym and I went to sign up for a fight...I got one in 20 minutes. So before every fight, I warm up and pray... 

20 minutes later I was in the boxing ring circling around my opponent... He looked like the same built like me but I was taller and more advanced in defensive techniques due to the military...but that doesn't mean he isn't as good...I heard before this fight this guy whose name is "The Charger" was pretty good...He was actually really good, he never lost a fight....they believe he is turning into me but that will never happen some say they want us to actually fight in a real fight, not some practice fight.... during the fight my brother told them to pause the fight...I said "No keep going...what the Hell Kev?" he said, "Phone is for you....he sounds important!" I said, "alright, I'll be there in a sec.." The Charger said, "go answer it might be important haha."  I rolled my eyes left the cage and picked up the phone...

"Hello, this is Drake Mathews?"...Everyone in the gym stopped so they can make the place silent..so right now you only hear is my voice... Great haha.

The voice from the other end sounded familiar... "Remember me, Drake? I told you about coming on the 15th?" 

I said "Oh I remember, yes you have, something change ...? 

He sighed and said "I am sorry Drake but they need you on the 10th....they just called and told me that...I know you wanted more time with your family...but orders are orders..."

"Yes, sir I understand, It is ok I spent a lot of time with them anyway, I appreciate your efforts for letting me go later, but I know that wasn't going to actually happen.."

He chuckled "well marine, you have 4 days with them....do as much as you can with them alright?"

I saluted him even though he wasn't in the room and replied: "Yes Sir I sure will..."  I hung up and everyone was waiting for an answer...

I said, "Kev, Matt we should get home..." Without saying a word they got ready and headed out...I looked at the charger "What's your real name?"  He replied "Chuck,"  I said, "Well Chuck we shall postpone this fight on my return home!"  He smiled and laughed "Alright you are on my man!!"  I waved bye and headed into the car...

Apparently my parents went out to eat and left us a note to meet them there...we got showered and dressed up and headed to the place they were at...

We enter and went to their table..on the way there sitting across my table was a family with two army soldiers. they looked like they just got back from tour...since their family's expressions... I sat down...my parents said "those two soldiers over there just got home from Afghanistan" I nodded...I noticed their eyes were on my table due to the fact we were mentioning them... I actually stood up since my parents were on the farther side of me...  I said "Ma .. Pa... Kev and Matt I know I just got back, but I received a call saying I have to go back on July 10.."  My mom gasped and my dad frowned... Kev and Matt were quiet...I noticed everyone around me was quiet... "I know its a shocker but I was actually going to leave on the 15th but I guess they really need my services.." I laughed...Mom spoke "You knew about this? why haven't you told us, Drake?" I frowned and said, "Well I was going to but it was fourth of July and yea.." Dad spoke, "Hush now everyone... it's not his call, he was ordered, at least we got to have him for a few more days.." Mom said "Yea, a  FEW days honey, we only had him for 5 days..." 

I replied "Mom...I know it's hard but I enlisted its what is expected.." Kev spoke up "Mom listen I gave him so much shit for not speaking to us about what happened and then fourth fo July came and I realized I should stop asking and be there for him...He has to go ma it's his job.." I smiled and sighed "I will be back!" Ma said, "You guys are right..but I don't want to see another one of that videos....seeing you like that gave everyone nightmares.." I smiled "I have no say..."
