Soldiers Vs Enemies

   We woke up super early for some reason, no one knew why. We all walked outside and stood in front of our tent and waited for the Captain to arrive. Max "Shit, it feels like a fucking sauna out here" Hank rolled his eyes and told him "Suck it up, we will be here for a long time." Max chuckled and said, "No harm to complain."  Doug interfered "Hank, we just arrived yesterday, you can complain once we are here for a year..." No one replied to that and we stood there in silence. Suddenly, the captain walked in front of us and spoke: "Alright listen up!" We stood tall and saluted him and he said: "At ease, now we were supposed to be 10 man group, but starting now we will gaining two new men." I thought "A 12 man group, that's a huge squad, I hope I get to see some action!"  He motioned for the two new guys to appear and one guy was taller than the other. The first one, who is the taller one, is jacked but looked naturally jacked nothing like a drug-infused body. He has pitch black hair, with light blue eyes, a scar running down his right eye and looked emotionless. The shorter one has shaggy dirty blonde hair, bright green eyes and is not as jacked as the first guy but had some muscle, he looked goofy but good looking.  The smaller one spoke up "Hey, the name is Daxton! A pleasure to meet you all." The taller one spoke "Name is Cash" Captian motioned for us to introduce ourselves...Everyone did, and it was my turn. I spoke, "My name is Drake, look forward to fighting alongside you both." Daxton smiled at my comment, while Cash gave no reply. 

Captain said, "Alright since everyone knows each other now, next will be our training with one another to see how well we do as a team." We then had to run to the training yard, I was in front alongside; Tear, Poe, Max, Franco, and the new guy Daxton. We got there and the captain took notice who arrived first. Then he told us "Our first team building will be a building break-in... 2 teams... Soldiers will be; Drake, Stalin, Franco, Cash, Kid, and Poe. Bad guys will be; Daxton, Max, Hank, Doug, Tear, and Bo." We separated into our groups and Captain told the bad guys to go inside the building and make a plan on how to take us out, while we had to plan on how to take over the building. He gave us 20 minutes to figure out our plans. Our plan was to survey the place before entering, but to make sure not to be seen, then we head in stealthy and go in one room at a time. It is a solid plan, I would rather split us up when we enter the place so we can cover more area, but everyone excluding Cash didn't like the plan...I said, "In all my experiences entering buildings while not knowing if there are enemies in every room in the building, I believe splitting up as we enter the building saved us from getting ourselves killed because you won't know if the enemy is in the  room next to the door and another one could come out of another room behind you and take us out from behind..." Cash stared me down, looked like he agreed with me but didn't say anything, the others took what I said into consideration. Stalin spoke up "I agree with Rex...After we survey the place we split into two groups... Drake, Franco, and Poe, and Cash, Kid, and I, sound good?" Everyone agreed. Perfect timing because Captain blew a whistle starting the team building. 

Stalin lead the survey procedure, we followed in a stealth matter, I whispered in front "Watch out for the windows...pass it up." Stalin looked at me and nodded meaning he got the message. The . building had two doors and it looked like it also had 2 floors, don't know if there is a basement just yet. Stalin sent a message "Group 1 aka Drakes team goes through the back and group 2 my team goes in front...The codeword is mango, use it to make sure you're not gonna shoot a teammate." My team split up and was on the side of the back door and Franco opened the door quietly and we all entered while Poe closed the door quietly making sure no one can hear us. We entered the first room, no one. Poe whispered "Clear" We went to the next door, for some odd reason I got into the zone making it seem like it was the real deal. We went room to room. No one... We entered a room and noticed a guy moving around quietly. I pointed my gun at him and said while whispering "Mango" Facing me that guy put his hands up and said "Mango"...it was Cash...I nodded and pointed the gun away from him and said: "Clear?" Cash nodded and I backed out of the room and whispered: "Clear...head up to the next level." Poe led the way and we found the staircase, I whispered "Careful, could be hiding in there..." They nodded and as we walked up to the staircase, I stopped them, I heard someone shuffling and I motioned them with my hands to quiet and listen, they seemed to hear it as well...I pointed at myself to go up there alone and check it out, they nodded. I wouldn't risk their lives over this small noise, I slowly walked up the stairs making sure to make little as noise as possible while making sure the coast was clear as I rounded the corner, I paused. Sitting there was Max and Hank, they were both looking through the door, without hesitation, I shot them with my BB gun, OH I forgot we got BB guns because why would we actually shoot our real guns at our own team members? They grunted in pain and looked at me and was surprised. I smiled and looked down to the others and motioned to come up. 

  They saw Hank and Max and smirked...while they frowned as they walked down to leave since they were shot... Franco and Poe patted my shoulder and motioned for the door...Now to the top floor. We opened the door and entered quietly and began our room to room search. We found this empty bathroom and Franco went in to check but we heard the shot and I quickly went in to check and Franco smiled as he looked at Doug on the ground annoyed. I patted Franco and motioned to continue. We continued and we didn't find anyone else on the top floor. There is a basement...realization hit me and I said: "Get down!" What I said outside was in the works now...Daxton was behind us and Luckily we all ducked because we heard a BB bullet pass us.

We looked relieved and I said, "I am going to look up, be the distractor, then once we pinpoint him you take him out, good?" They nodded and as I stood up to run, I felt a BB hit my leg and Poe shooting his BB gun, said: "Got him!" I smiled and said "Ight boys, I'm out...good luck! Win this for us!" They both nodded and I said one last thing "Make sure you look everywhere even if it's stupid... never know who will be hiding in there..." They nodded. I was about to go down "Wait... 2 more left Bo and Tear....get em!" I smiled and headed back downstairs, with Daxton who was shocked at how he got out. 

We walked out and there standing was Max, Hank, and Doug from the enemies and from my team was Franco and Kid. I said, "At least we got more out."  Kid asked, "How the hell did you get out?" I said, "Took one for the team." Daxton stared me down and said, "Wait, you let me shoot you?" I looked at him and said "Yea, or we would be there for hours, plus you got my leg, would have survived...been in worse situations...I guess I took this very serious..." Hank said, "You shot us without even hesitation..." I put my hands in the air "You were my enemy... never let me enemy know I am there to alert their members of us...I was doing what I would have done in the field." I felt the stares and I shrugged while chuckling...Daxton smiled and said, "I like you...you are the loser!" I rolled my eyes at that comment...I watched the building hoping everyone is ok in there.

A few minutes later Bo came out and said "Fuck...Who the hell taught Franco to search the whole room...could have gotten him..." I held my hand in the air "Guilty..." Franco smirked and said, "Of course you did." I laughed... Daxton was standing by my side throughout the time we waited...

5 minutes later they all came out and Poe said: "We won!" I punched the air and said "Good work! I heard what you did Franco, I am grateful you listened!" Franco smiled and said, "A man with those scars, has given me tips, I should take that into consideration." I laughed and patted his shoulder "Good thinking... who took out Tear?" Franco replied "Cash."  I nodded at Cash who was staring at me and nodded back. Poe said, " not trying to flex but our group practically took all of the enemies out...just saying!"

The captain was in our view we all stood and saluted. Captain looked at me and said, "So it is true." I asked, "May I ask what is true?" The captain "You, are the Rex I have seen on the television...correct?" I nodded and I saw him smile for the first time I have seen him smile like that, he rarely smiles. The captain said, "I have cameras in there...watched everything go down, including you taking the bullet for your men to get the enemy...you are the real deal." I nervously laughed "Real deal?" The captain answered "Don't worry about it, everyone is dismissed...I hope everyone uses this squad as serious as Drake...I will see you in the morning for a mission." 

My first mission with my new squad...It seems things will get interesting from here.
