The Ambush

To recap real fast: We came into a village that was empty.. which we knew something huge was coming.. Then on the second or third-night lights appeared on the horizon...

Present time:

Clover and I were starring at the horizon making sure those were actual lights... which they were of course... I whispered to Clover " We need to wake them up.. pronto..."  Clover nodded and he started to wake everyone up..but making sure they were quiet since if we made too much noise our enemies would know we spotted them...

Everyone was up, while the captain was at his duty of giving orders to us... He split us into groups and assigned us into different homes... 

I was put in with three cleaners and Jack and Elliot... I was ready to go to the house we were assigned but Dash and Meat showed up beside me and said: "Rex better come back in one piece ight?"  I laughed and said, "No you guys come back in one piece..."  We all laughed and I looked over and spotted Clover.. he seemed scared... I said "Clov!"  He turned and saw me and I waved him over...

He came up to us and I said "Listen I know this may be your first ever ambush, but you need to be on your A-game, you need to be ready to shoot, you need to be ready of everything that will happen tonight, no matter what... do what you believe is right, because it's your own experience to live through.. If you're in trouble take a breath and solve a solution in your head, you need to keep yourself and your brothers around you safe...make sure to remember to breathe and keep your eyes pealed...that's all I have to say.."  He smiled and said "Thanks Drake, this means a lot ..really does...I am going to do the right actions tonight no matter what..."  I smiled and I left without saying goodbye... Clover was to stay in the house we were in... He saw me leaving and said "DRAKE! where are you going?"  I said, "I was assigned into a different house..you will be fine haha.."  I didn't bother looking back, so I put my hand up and gave him a thumbs up... 

I reached my house with the crew I was with... Jack: "we should all go to different sections of the house... right?"  Elliot: "Or maybe different stories, I mean there's an upstairs, this level and a roof..."  They stared at me... I said "We need to split to the different levels with a partner... I'll take the roof.."

Elliot said, "I'll go there with you too..."  Jack: "Aw man you guys suck... I will go upstairs.."  One cleaner said He would go with Jack and then the other two were gonna be staying on the level we were on... I motioned for Elliot to follow which he did...

We were on the roof luckily there was a wall type of thing so we could hide... I got out my binoculars and searched for the lights..they were coming closer... Elliot whispered, "Man this mission is getting shittier and shittier..." I nodded but he continued to talk "why us, why right now.." I said, "Shut the hell up..stop asking questions when I can't give you the answers.."  He sighed and muttered a sorry...

I said "I want to go make move on them but...I can't"  He laughed and said "If you were to do that... I would be by your side in less of a second.."  We both shared a laugh...Out of nowhere our walkie talkies went off ..the leader said "Attention they are getting closer..be ready to fight..be ready to win this ambush.. we are in for a great battle!! over.."  I smiled and shook my head..then the leader said "Drake's crew there are some gaining closer to you....be ready..over"  I said "yes, spot them thanks..over" 

I looked at Elliot "Aye.." He looked at me and I continued... "Whatever happens worry about yourself..alright..don't worry about others, worry about yourself.."  He said, "no that's nonsense Drake, if something happened to me, you would be all over that person, I am going to worry because how could I not.."  I grumbled and said "well first off.. get down and second just make sure you're alive at the end of this.."  He chuckled and said, "Yes Sir.. but Rex?"  I stared at him... "Do me a favor?"  I said "what?"  He said, "Survive...Ok.. to be honest none of us in our squad wouldn't have been here without you man..you got us to where we are today and it's gonna be hard if you don't survive.."  I said "Shut up..don't make this so sappy please.. the only thing I am gonna do is fight, If I die ..I die... I will try my best to survive, but you have to as well.. not just me man, that goes for you too... I never got you where you are today... You did that yourself Elliot, You worked hard and in the end, it paid off... But if you're in trouble I will help no matter what...your my brother Elliot don't stop fighting ok..you have to survive if you are making me survive..."  He smiled.. then he realized something " The radio is still on.. which made us both laugh "that goes for everyone out there too...SURVIVE!! or I will kill you all...mwahahaha..ok no time for this ...get ready ladies this is not gonna be pretty.."
