The Meeting that Got Interrupted

     We entered the room which held my Captain and the others.  The Special forces were there too, which I found strange because shouldn't they be gone by now. I shrugged it off and listened to the Captain.  He was talking about the mission, explaining what we did right and what we did wrong.  He suddenly showed us the picture of the dead kid. I was frozen and I remembered that part.  I was so in thought that I never heard my name being called out, until Meat hit me and I looked around and saw everyone starring at me, including the special forces captain.  I said "What?" Captain said "Are you ok?"  I said while saluting "Yes Sir!"  My captain nodded and went back to the picture.  Meat whispered "Are you sure?"  I glanced at him and said "Yes I am fine." He just nodded and patted my shoulder.  This is going to be a long meeting.  

During the meeting, A marine came running in while shouting "ENEMY IS HERE!! REPEAT ENEMY IS HERE!!"  We all shot up and ran to get our guns and get in place for this ambush.  

   I saw a news reporter, what the fuck and I ran to her and her camera guy "What are you doing here?"  She said "We wanted to get a story for what happened!"  I said "LEAVE NOW!!!"  She said "No we here for a story"  I didn't know but she was recording this, I said "This is a dangerous zone, please go into that tent over there, alright"  She shook her head  and said "No"  I gave her this look and said "You want to die, then be my guest"  I had no time and ran to get my gear, but to my annoyance they followed me, I know my family is watching, they always do.

I got my gear and said "Listen I know you want to be high and mighty for your fucking job, but right now you don't know how to handle yourself through this, there will be shooting, bombing, deaths, and blood split.. are you ready to watch someone die?"  Her face had fear written across it and I continued "Thats what I thought, I am going to take you to the captains and you can stay by their side, alright"  She said "We want to stay with you, please"  I laugh and said "And Miss this party, Oh hell no.. I am here to fight for my country and to protect my brothers and sisters, I have no time to hide out, that is not the Marine way. Follow me"  I took them to the tent where my captain and special forces were in and entered there sitting there was all the special forces and the two captains.  I am guessing they aren't going to help, which is ok. My captain said "Why are you here Drake, get ready!"  I said "Found these two outside, brought them here so they won't be harmed, now I am leaving.. going to kick some ASS!!!"  I saluted my captain and ran out, but stopped once I heard her "please don't leave"  I sighed and walked in.. I looked at her and I said "What do you expect by coming here?  That there won't be shooting or ambushes?  I am not here to baby sit you.. you are here with my captain who will protect you, so stop being a baby"  I ran out again and ran to my squad and they just laughed.

Our enemies came and we were currently shooting them, while we were being shot as well.  I looked at the captains' tent and noticed them watching us.. those fucking jerks, I laughed and Meat said "Why you laughing" I pointed at them and he saw and he laughed too. He commented "I guess we are putting on a good show?"  I laughed again and gotten back up to shoot... I looked across and noticed Jack. He didn't look good... Fuck he got shot.. I said "Meat  listen, cover me ok!"  He said "What? Ok?" I said "Jack has been shot, I ned to get him"  He nodded and said "A count of three, you get him" I said "Damn straight, this will be a bad idea, but I run faster with out a gun"  Meat said "Bring your fucking gun!!" I said "Look I can run faster without it, just watch my back ight?"  He sighed and said "ok.. go!"  I took off, My squad mates were shouting my name telling me to turn back, but I said "I can't leave a man behind!"  I was getting shot at and I was laughing. I don't know why I was laughing but I was... I slid and landed next to Jack.

I said "Jackie Boy! You there?"  He opened his eyes and said "What the hell, Drake go back.. I'm not going to make it"  I said "Listen to me, You are going to make it, I am not letting you die on my watch, you fucker!!!"  I saw him laughing and said "Don't be funny, Drake listen tell my fam.." I cut him off and said "Listen here Jack, you are going to survive Ok!! Stop saying your not because you are"  I felt a tear go down my cheek and I yelled out to Meat "MEAT!!! COUNT OF 3 I AM GOING TO RUN WITH JACK... WATCH MY 2"  I heard him say "Ok!" I made sure I had Jack on my opposite side so if I do get shot, I will be the one getting shot.. Jack said "Why?"  I said "Your my brother, why wouldn't I?"  Jack laughed and I counted down "3.....2....1"  Meat popped up and shot up a storm, while I took off. It's hard running with another body who isn't helping you run.  I heard people shouting my name and I heard Jack "Please, Drake don't risk your life for me.."  I said "Your my brother! I am not leaving you behind.. I am not letting you die!"  I was running when I felt it... I was shot in my side, I let out a groan but kept going... Jack said "Your shot.. let me go!!"  I shook my head and kept running even through my pain.. I said "I have been shot before remember, I can handle it"  I was close, I saw Dash reaching out to help... I noticed a gunner and I said "Goodbye Jack" Jack gave me this look and I threw him to Dash... Once he left my arms, the gunner shot me. I saw Jacks face, I saw Meats and Dashes, I gave them a smile and said "I told you before, I will die for you guys.. you are my brothers"  I began to fall, suddenly the special forces entered and took  control.  I hit the ground on my knees, but before falling to the ground, the special forces captain caught me and He said "Good work Drake, you will live"  I said "Tell my family...tell them.... I.. say...I..love..them.." but to my knowledge the camera was on me... I coughed up the blood and my eyes were closing...
