3.3) Now You're Gonna Pay

Third Person's POV:

"Do you have a four?" Gaby asked Miguel as she sat in one of the chairs next to his hospital bed.

"Nope, go fish," Miguel said.

Gaby groaned and reached to grab a card from the deck that was sitting on the hospital bed.

"How are you so good at this game?" Gaby asked, seeing that he had significantly more piles of pairs on the bed than she did.

Miguel smiled cheekily and said, "I don't know, how are you so bad at it? It's literally the easiest card game to play."

Gaby playfully slapped his arm, "You're such an a**hole, you know that," she exclaimed while laughing.

Miguel chuckled and asked, "Do you have a two?"

Gaby sighed and handed him her two of spades, "Yes."

"Do you have a queen?" Gaby asked as Miguel put down his pair of two's on the bed.

"Yep, here you go," Miguel said, smiling as he handed her his last card.

"Do you know what that means?" Miguel asked as Gaby put her pair of queens on the bed.

"That you win?" Gaby asked sarcastically.

"Yep! For the third time in a row!" Miguel braggs.

Gaby smiled and picked up the cards, "Whatever."

Miguel sighed and smiled at Gaby, "You don't know how nice it is to just sit down, relax, and play a game with a friend."

"I could say the same thing," Gaby said.

"Really? How come?" Miguel asked.

"My parents want me to do an extra curricular other than Cobra Kai, so that I have a better chance at getting a scholarship. I ended up choosing dance, since I used to dance every day before my sophomore year. I also got a part time job, so between school, Cobra Kai, dance, and my job it's kind of hard to get a little bit of time to my self and just relax," Gaby explained.

"Enough about me though, your surgery is soon right?" Gaby asked.

"Yeah, but I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing," Miguel said.

"What do you mean?" Gaby asked.

"The surgery is really expensive, and it might not even work. I don't think my mom can afford it," Miguel explained.

"Don't worry about that, you have a lot of friends. We'll make sure your mom can pay for the surgery. Just think positively," Gaby smiled.

"Thank you for always being there for me. I really appreciate it," Miguel said as he grabbed Gaby's hand.

Gaby smiled, "Of course, what else are friends for," she said before an alarm on her phone went off.

Gaby dismissed it and said, "Sorry, but I've gotta get to work. I'll see you later."

"Bye, Gaby," Miguel smiled.

"Bye, Miggy," She said back before leaving the hospital.

Gaby, Hawk, and A**face were skateboarding through the shopping center when they saw a car wash in one of the parking lots.

They stopped and noticed that it was the Miyagi-Do students raising money for Miguel.

"They're litteraly using Miguel as their poster child," Hawk said angrily.

"He's not a Miyagi, they think they can get away with that?" A**face asked.

"They won't," Gaby said before all three of them left.

A couple of hours later, Gaby, Hawk, and A**face went back to the shopping center and saw Nathaniel putting the money away in his bag.

They walked up to him and Gaby said, "You picked the wrong side," before taking his bag.

"Hey! Give it back!" Nathaniel shouted as Hawk grabbed him from behind and held him in place.

Gaby took the envelope of money out of the bag, "Nothing like a long day of charity, huh?"

"Don't worry, we'll make sure Miguel knows it's from Cobra Kai," Hawk said.

"Come on guys, we all wanna help pay for Miguel's surgery," Nathaniel said.

Gaby smirked, "Oh you're gonna pay, all right."
