3.9) Feel the Night

Third Person's POV:

Gaby was punching a dummy a few minutes before class when she heard, "What are you doing here?"

She stopped punching the dummy and turned towards the voice, "Why are you here, Keene?"

"I asked first," Robby said.

Gaby shrugged and replied, "I like to come here early and work out by myself whenever I can. It's a stress reliever. Now, why are you here?"

Robby sighed and was about to reply when they both heard Hawk yell, "What the hell are you doing here, Keene?"

Sensei Kreese, having heard him, stepped out of his office and said, "Now, Hawk, Mr. Keene is our guest."

Gaby rolled her eyes and went back to punching the dummy as Hawk and Sensei walked into his office.

After a while she noticed Tory walking out of the gym and that Robby was no where to be seen.

Her curiosity getting the better of her, she walked into the gym and saw Robby sitting on the floor next to a sleeping bag.

"So, what exactly are you doing here? You never got a chance to answered me before," Gaby asked.

"Can I trust you?" Robby asked.

"That depends, are you still at Miyagi Do?" Gaby asked.

"No, that's actually why I'm here. I just got out of juvie and I had no where else to go," Robby answered.

"Sh*t, did Daniel kick you out?" Gaby asked, admittedly feeling a little concerned.

"No, but I just don't want to deal with him and my dad," Robby answered.

Gaby sighed and sat down next to him, "Yeah, I get that."

"Really?" Robby asked.

Gaby nodded, "I used to be really close with Daniel and Johnny, but then I realized that they didn't have my best interest in mind."

"What do you mean?" Robby asked.

"I mean that Daniel can't get over his hatred for Cobra Kai and that Johnny only pays attention to Miguel. I wasn't even learning anything new until Kreese took over," Gaby explained.

"You really think he only cares about Miguel?" Robby asked, feeling a little insecure.

"I hate to say this because he's your dad, but honestly yeah. And part of me understands why he's doing that, he f*cked up with you and Miguel's his second chance to be a father. But then the other part of me thinks of all of the bullsh*t that you've gone through because of him and any sort of sympathy that I might've felt for him goes right out the window," Gaby replied honestly.

Robby looked down at his lap and sighed, "Do you... do you think he'll ever care about me?" he asked vulnerably.

Gaby grabbed his hand, "I think he cares about you right now, I'm just not sure if he'll ever make you his top priority. I'm sorry if this is harsh but as your friend, it's my job to tell you the truth."

Robby smiled at her and asked, "Oh, so you're my friend again?"

Gaby smiled back, "Yup, and as your friend, I also demand that you have some fun and come hang out with me and a few friends. We have something special planned."

Robby nodded his head and said, "Okay, I'll think about it."

"Cool, I'll text you where to meet us just in case you decide to come," Gaby said before leaving the gym area.
