4.9) The Fall pt.1

Third Person's POV:

The first thing Gaby thought of when she woke up the next day, was how amazing her day with Tory was. Her face immediately lit up just thinking about it.

*Flashback*

"Today was amazing," Gaby said as she leaned back into the passenger seat of Sensei Silver's car and looked at Tory, who was in the driver's seat.

"It really was. I never thought I'd get to go to prom, let alone enjoy it so much," Tory replied, giving her girlfriend a gentle smile.

Gaby smiled back at her and said, "Yeah, thanks for convincing me to come."

"You don't have to thank me," Tory replied sincerely before chuckling, "We should probably thank Robby, though," she joked, making Gaby chuckle too.

Gaby looked into Tory's eyes as she grabbed her hand and gave it a small squeeze, "I love you."

"I love you too," Tory smiles before leaning in and giving her a kiss.

*Present*

Gaby picked up her phone from her nightstand and checked the time, '6:43, that's good. I have more than enough time to get ready before training with Sensei Silver,' she thought before getting out of bed.

Gaby walked out of her room and into the kitchen, furrowing her eyebrows when she noticed that her grandma wasn't watching tv in the living room like she usually does.

Once she got to the kitchen, she noticed something written on the magnetic notepad that was on the fridge.

'Make sure to let your Papi know you're leaving before you go. Your Awi is out playing dominoes and I'm working today, so we won't be home til later. Have a good day, love you
--Mami.'

Gaby tore the paper off from the rest of the notepad and threw it away before making herself some coffee and toast for breakfast. 

After her breakfast, Gaby went to go brush her teeth and get dressed. Once she was done, she looked at the time and saw that it was 7:28 am. She figured that she should start leaving so that she wasn't late for her private training session with Sensei Silver.

Gaby walked over to her parents' room and knocked on the door. When she got no response, she opened it and saw her dad asleep on the bed. She walked over to him and lightly shook his shoulder, "Papi, wake up. I'm leaving for work."

When he didn't move, Gaby shook his shoulder a little bit harder, "Papi, wake up."

Gaby's eyebrows furrowed when he still didn't move, he normally wasn't a deep sleeper. She started lightly slapping his cheek. "Papi," she spoke a little louder, "Papi, wake up."

When he didn't respond at all, she took a step back, "What the hell," she mumbled before she noticed something, his chest wasn't moving at all.

Gaby quickly moved towards him and placed her finger under her dad's nose, not feeling any air coming out. Her eyes widened in realization as she bent down and put her head against his chest. "Oh my god," she whispered in shock, her eyes tearing up.

Gaby immediately stood back up and pulled her phone out of her pocket, dialing 9-1-1 as fast as she could. 

"9-1-1, what's your emergency?" the operator asked from the other end of the call.

"It's my dad, his heart isn't beating," Gaby quickly replied, her voice sounding panicked.

"Okay, sweety, can you give me your address?"

Gaby nodded, "Y-yeah, it's um, 13701 sw 63rd st, apartment 4."

The 9-1-1 operator typed on her computer before saying, "Alright, help will be there soon, but in the meantime, I'm gonna need you to do some chest compressions. Do you know how to do those?"
