Third Person's POV:
Gaby was sitting on the couch by herself, fiddling with her phone nervously. She had 31 missed calls and 26 text messages from Tory. Robby had tried to contact her too; even Miguel and Johnny and called and texted. They must've heard the ambulance in the morning and got worried when she wasn't home.
They also must've told the Miyagi-Dos and Eagle Fangs that they were worried about her because she even had a few missed calls and texts from Eli, Demetri, Bert, and Sam.
Gaby gripped her phone in anger, she didn't need their pity; they weren't her friends, they were her enemies.
Gaby shut off her phone and tossed it onto the couch before walking out of her apartment. She figured that she should return Sensei Silver's car since she wasn't able to earlier, plus a drive might help clear her head.
As she drove away from the apartment complex, Gaby couldn't help but think about what happened earlier that day. None of it felt real, it felt like she'd wake up any second and everything would go back to normal.
But this wasn't a dream, it wasn't a nightmare, it was real and she wasn't sure how to deal with it.
Her dad was in a coma because he had a heart attack and the doctors don't know when or if he'd wake up. Her grandmother practically had a panic attack when the nurses told them visiting hours were over (not that Gaby blamed her, she couldn't imagine what it felt like to know your child might die). And when the nurses said that she could stay, Krystal had decided to stay as well so that she could keep an eye on her mother-in-law.
Gaby, knowing that she still needed to return Sensei Silver's car and that she had work the next day, had decided to go home by herself. But that's not what she wanted, she didn't want to be alone. She wanted someone to comfort her, to hold her, and tell her that everything would be okay. But that wasn't going to happen, because unfortunately nobody in her life could read minds and she definitely wasn't going to admit that she needed help.
'Cobras aren't weak, there is no room for pain or fear in this dojo,' Gaby reminded herself of her Sensei's words as she parked in front of the Cobra Kai dojo.
Seeing that the lights were on, she stepped out of the car, the keys in her hand, and walked towards the door.
When she opened the door, its chime rang out and Sensei Silver walked out of the office. "Ms. Sanchez, you missed our training session."
Gaby looked down, feeling slightly ashamed, "I know, I'm sorry. I had a family emergency, but I came to return your car."
Sensei Silver's face turned sympathetic, "I'm sorry to hear that. Is everything okay now?"
Gaby shook her head, "No, actually, but I, um, I don't really wanna talk about it."
"I understand. It hurts too much to even think about, but it's the only thing on your mind, right?"
"Yeah," Gaby confirmed, "How did you-?"
"I've lost a lot of people in my life, it's only natural when you get to my age. It never gets any easier."
"I'm sorry-" Gaby started before getting interrupted.
"Don't be," Sensei Silver said, "I just want you to know that you're not alone. I've been where you are right now, and I know exactly how to take your mind off it, how to stop feeling the pain."
Gaby looked up at him, tears filling her eyes, "Really?"
Sensei Silver nodded, "Absolutely. Follow me," he said before leading Gaby into the gym area of the dojo.
