Chapter 14 The End
Ringmaster comes back to the stage clapping for the last performance.
"All right ladies and gents that was our last performance of tonight's show. Let's give all our wonderful performers one last round of applause."
Ringmaster starts clapping, and the audience joins in, cheering and giving a standing ovation. The Harriets are clapping as well.
"I want to thank the crew for making this show run; I need to thank the performers for giving us a sneak peek into their freaky little lives and most of all, I want to thank you, the audience for coming out to see our great one-night show. I hope you all learned a little nugget of insight, maybe a lesson or two, and even some new skills. I also want to wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors in using this new found information." Ringmaster waves to the audience as the audience cheers louder.
"Oh yeah don't forget to pay the lady on the way out..." Ringmaster winks as he continues waving. He walks off stage, out of the spotlight into the darkness.
The audience starts to leave, and the Harriets are still confused on what the hell they just witnessed. They were not expecting a circus more or less learning a lesson on ladies night. The gang look at each other still lost on what to do.
"Should we leave?" Trixie asks. Veronica and Monica shrug as the Ringmaster approaches them; everyone else has left by now.
"Well hello, Harriets or should I say hello Ronda, Helga, Trixie, Ginger, Jessie, Jenna, Veronica, and Monica. Did you ladies enjoy tonight's show?" Ringmaster asks, smiling creepily.
Confused, backing away slowly, the girls wonder how he knows their names. They do not even have time to ask him before the lights flicker a few times, scaring them, and screams heard throughout the building. Ringmaster claps his hands and laughs as the lights go black. On stage right Lady V, not seen by the crowd, laughs evilly and runs off backstage.
What feels like hours, but in reality its only minutes later, the Harriets are looking around perplexed. From the looks of it, they have ended up back on the streets of the Red Light District, wondering how they arrived back on the street.
"What was that all about?" Helga asked, looking around.
"Hell if I know?" Ginger replied, confused.
"I am so lost and confused." Trixie shook her head.
"Me too!" Jessie whined.
"I think we should head back home, and forget this ever happened. I am queasy just thinking about it." Jenna stated, rubbing her stomach dramatically.
"Yeah that's a good idea." Ronda said, "Let's get an Uber."
"Oh where are Monica and Veronica?" Jessie looks around the sidewalk, scared because she does not see anyone else on the street.
"Fuck!" Ginger yelled, "I swear they are so slow!"
"Monica! Veronica!" Jenna yelled out to the black midnight air, freaking out.
"Well he did say 'don't forget to pay the lady on the way out..." Trixie said quietly.
"What?" Ronda stops looking at the Uber app and looks up at Trixie.
"He said to pay the lady on the way out..."
"Jesus Christ!" Helga throws her hands up in the air. "What does that even mean?"
"It means we gotta go back in there to find them." Jessie said to Ronda.
"We are not going back; we can't lose any more of us!" Ronda paced around the group.
