The following night;
The Core Lounge;
Suzie's POV;

It had been a long night; I had tried to stay awake but having Jeff lying next to me; his arms holding me closely felt so good that I had given in and had the best sleep that I had, had since this whole thing with Shaun had started. Having Jeff lying next to me; holding me close had at first left me stunned as it truly felt like I was suffocating in my sudden rush of feelings but the longer I lay there, holding my breath the more I couldn't deny how right it felt.

Glancing back along the bar to where he was currently stood; his eyes watching me, I could feel the rush of desire that I now associated with that look and it was all I could do not to mount the bar and launch myself at him. Giving him a smile, which he returned and set my heart off to twice its normal speed, I knew that I was in trouble...big time.

Quickly turning away from him so that I didn't make a complete fool of myself, I set about serving the group of girls who had come in all dressed up with one woman in the centre of the large group; dressed up with a vail and a large L wrapped around her neck. Great a hen night; just what I needed right now!

Taking their orders, I let my mind wonder to earlier today; Deano and I had taken the bikes out for a ride as planned, we drove up to The Blue Ridge Mountains where we had parked at the highest peak and sat and talked for a while. Getting caught up on all that had been going on in Deano's life and my own, we stayed there until I realized that I would be running late for getting back in time to open up.

"Oh my God that is Jeff Hardy!" The bride to be cheered with glee as her eyes caught him directly in her sight.

I remained tight lipped as I listened to the other girls encouraging her to go and get one of her kisses from him. I turned to my friend, to the man I had the hugest crush on; that had seemed to come from left field and left me feeling more than a little out of my depth.

I managed to catch his eyes and nodded my head to the women but he clearly didn't catch my meaning as the woman, who was dressed up like something from a very bad romantic comedy movie, approached him and started talking to him. I couldn't watch, I couldn't put myself through the gut wrenching reminder that he was as charming as they came, and that he knew exactly how to use that charm to his own gratification.

The sound of squealing chorused through the club and had me catching the last few seconds of the kiss that sent me in to some kind of jealous freak out. I had to get out of here, I had to clear my head and I had to put a little distance between me and the man who could quite easily break my heart. I wasn't about to allow that to happen again, no way it had hurt too badly with Shaun but with Jeff it could quite possibly hurt more.

Telling my bar manager Tom that I was heading out to check on Gilby and his band before they took to the stage for their second show. I silently let myself out from behind the bar and moved quickly to the back where they were getting ready.

"There's my little Suzie Q!" Gilby smiled as he pulled his jersey top over his head to replace it with his red button up shirt.

"Hey you," I smiled although on my insides I could feel my heart still thumping desperately in my chest.

"Guys can you give me and the boss lady a few minutes?" Gilby asked looking to his band members who all nodded and headed out in to the bar. "Ok babe, what's wrong?"

"I am in such a mess Gilby," I finally broke down and in seconds I was in his arms; secured and safe from all that I was feeling for a man who clearly didn't feel anything for me.

"Hey it's ok babe, whatever it is I am here...I've been told I'm a pretty good listener,"

"I think I am falling for Jeff," I blurted it out in one breath before I lost my nerve.
