Whispering Pines; Shannon's House;
Heather's POV;
This wasn't the first time I had been in Shannon's house, but it was the first time I had been here alone and with the thought of what was about to happen embedded firmly in my head, I could feel the nerves bubbling in the pit of my stomach. It had been a long time since I had allowed myself to get close to a man, let alone actually taking things this step further.
"You ok baby?" Shannon asked stepping up behind me once he had let the dogs out in to the back yard, to ensure our total privacy.
"Mmhmm," I nodded resting back in to his arms, knowing that as nervous as I was, I was definitely ready for this. I had held men at arms length for too long and as far as I was concerned that stopped right now.
"You're nervous!" Shannon stated more than asked and it was one of the things that made me like him more than anything else; he was always intune with me and what I was thinking to the point where it sometimes felt as if we were one person, thinking the same way about things.
"Just a little bit..." I admitted, I had never felt the need to gloss over my feelings with him, he just made it easy to be one hundred percent honest with him.
"We can take this as slow or as fast as you want...you set the pace ok baby?" He whispered as he slowly turned me in his arms until I was resting against his carved bulk, taking comfort from his powerful arms as they wrapped around me.
"How about a drink first then...? Get me loosened up a little bit?" I suggested.
"You got it; Gin and Tonic right?" He asked placing his lips to my forehead before turning and heading towards the kitchen.
"Please!" I nodded happily as I moved further in to the living room and sat down on the large leather sofa. "Do you mind if I put the fire on?"
"Of course not sugar," He replied from where he was preparing our drinks.
Getting up I moved to the large fire place, and reached in to the mantel to turn it on; watching the large artificial flame dancing around erotically, I became comfortable where I was sitting so stretched out and stared at the ceiling until Shannon's face appeared in my line of vision.
"Comfortable?" He smiled positioning himself next to me on the large white sheep skin rug.
"Mmhmm, you don't mind?" I asked turning to look at him as he passed me my drink.
"Not in the slightest beautiful," He replied smiling as I downed my drink in one, feeling the burn sliding all the way down my chest and it seemed to burn the nerves away with it as it went.
Turning back to the ceiling, I thought of how much I cared for this man, how much he meant to me and nothing could have prepared me for the realization that I was slowly falling in love with him, the more time we spent together the more it seemed to just reaffirm my feelings to the point where I was suddenly sure that I was drowning in him.
From the minute that we had met; he had done nothing but treat me with respect, he was absolutely nothing like the men I had met before; he didn't automatically assume that I was going to jump straight in to bed with him, and he didn't push for me to do it, which made him more special than I figured a man could be.
An hour later;
Shannon's POV;
Lost in her eyes as our lips seemed to be on a soul mission to leave bruising on one another. Giving her the power, she seemed intent on driving me crazy, as her hands had removed the shirt of my costume and began to guide me to follow her lead, we had been lying here for the past half hour just kissing; our flesh resting against one another.
