Later that night;
Suzie's POV;

My sisters and their boyfriends had partied hard tonight to celebrate the fact that Brittany had agreed to Matt's proposal to move in with him. I was happy for them; they were so good for one another and I was more than sure that they were going to be together for a long time, if not forever. It was a blessing to me that my sisters were both happy and settled. All I had to do now was work on my own life.

I had to work my way through all this stuff with Shaun because it was really eating away at my life. Everything that I held close to me was slowly being poisoned by my ex and his inability to just accept that we were over. And as I glanced across the now empty club; my eyes fixated on Jeff who was gathering empty glass bottles to take out back to the dumpster. I didn't want to lose the best thing that had happened to me since the success of my club.

It had been yet another busy night; people were queuing around the building to get in and the more they were refused entry the more they'd show up just willing to hang around outside. I had managed to successfully create the kind of place that had been in my mind for as long as I could remember and I was actually making money; a very healthy amount of money.

Matt, Britt, Heather and Shannon headed home with Barry whose date had turned in to a huge dud. I could still picture the 'save me' looked that had flashed in Barry's eyes when he had been in the club for a little over an hour. The girl was the kind of girly girl that reminded me why I didn't have very many girl friends. She was shrill and seemed to be the type of girl who would get excited by the fact that she had elbows.

Barry, bless his soul, had a very specific type; all looks with nothing much going on up stairs. It still amazed me that he kept going for the same type when clearly he hadn't been having much luck with them. But my best friend was a player; the kind of man that Shaun had turned out to be, but the major difference between my best friend and my ex was that Barry always made sure that the women he was with knew that he wasn't in it for a long term commitment.

I had just hung back for a while amused at how uncomfortable my best friend was. Then I had watched as the bimbo had targeted Jeff in her sights; curious to see how Jeff would deal with the situation; I had watched as he had tried in desperate vain to deflect her advances but she had been clearly too stupid to realize that he was trying to remain polite.

I recognized the signs of Jeff slowly becoming frustrated so I had told my bar manager that I was taking my break and moved to where my man was literally hanging on to his composure by a thread. Kissing him deeply, I had felt the way his body relaxed against me as his arms entwined around my waist refusing to let me go.

Barry had engaged us in to conversation; completely ignoring his date until she had gotten the message and disappeared in to the crowds, giving him the clear message that their date was over making him appear much happier for the rest of the night.

"Penny for 'em beautiful!?" Jeff's voice pierced through my train of thought and as I came back to the present I could see his hand waving in front of my face.

"Sorry I was just thinking,"

"Anything you want to share?" He asked pulling himself on to the table that I had just wiped down.

"I'm just thinking about Barry and the women that he insists on dating..."

"You mean they're all like that?" He asked clearly shocked.

"Pretty much although that one tonight set a new bar; that everyone else will be measured against," I laughed as Jeff pulled me in between his legs.

"She really was something else," He chuckled running his hands up and down my legs, which successfully sent my body in to a trembling fit of desire.
