I was walking through the park when I spotted Nate and Dan. I gasped and turned around however Nate clocked me mid turn
"Rose!" he called over and I stopped from high tailing it out of their. I could have ignored them and pretend I didn't hear them but tit didn't sound plausible
"Shit!" I mumbled and turned around with a bright smile "Nathaniel, hello. Daniel."
"Rosie."
"Well this is a surprise but I'm late for a nail appointment." Now that sounded plausible I went to make my way past them
"Can't you spare a few minutes?" Nate wondered
"Nope, sorry." I walked extreemly fast to get out of there.

I stepped out of the elevator with Arissa and walked into the main room. I looked around, seeing if I could spot my father.
"There he is." Arissa gestured to where my father and Lily were standing talking to some people. He noticed me and excused himself
"Rosalie, you look beautiful." He kissed my head "Arissa, it's nice to see you again." he greeted my guardian.
"You to Mr Bass."
"Sweetheart, Lily would love to introduce you some people from Vanity Fair. I will have a drink sent over for you." he pointed over to where she was talking
"Okay." I left the two, I know why he sent me to Lily, he wanted a one to one progress report on me.
"Lily." she turned
"Rosalie, I'm glad you're here. Come meet Alexandra and Roman from Vanity Fair. Alexandra and Roman, this is my step daughter Rosalie." she introduced us and I shook their hands
"It's nice to meet you."
"You as well."
"Rosalie is an aspiring journalist, she plans to attend classes at NYU next year." Lily bragged
"Well, I haven't officially been accepted yet but here's hoping."
"Miss Bass, your drink." a waiter came over with a glass of sparkling water. I took it off him and he nodded with a small smile
"Thank you."
"Do you have any specific for of journalism you want to go into?" Alexandra wondered
"Well I hope that once i get my degree, I will work for a newspaper or a magazine. I actually just started a blog a week ago, it's nothing much yet it's no gossip girl but I'm hoping to gain some traction. Eventually many years down the line I want to be in media journalism."
"how interesting." I spotted Blair talking to my brother
"Would you excuse me?" the nodded and I left to talk to my friend
"Blair, you look stunning." she turned around to face me, she looked like she relaxed a little upon my presence.
"Hey Rosie." we hugged that is when I noticed the hint of annoyance that I didn't pick up on a moment ago.
"I know that face, what has my brother done now?" i question her while resting a hand on my hip.
"Nothing, it's fine. Enjoy the party." She left me alone. I sighed, something was up as usual I sat next to Eric.
"So when do I get to meet Jonathan. Everyone but me has met him." I pout, he chuckled
"I will bring him over tomorrow, I promise."
"Good, then I can tell him that if he hurts you. I will break his face." He laughed and shook his head
"You know he'll think that's a joke."
"ha-ha. It's not." I grin. I saw my father talking with Chuck and it didn't look like a nice one.
"I'll be right back." I headed over to them
"Father, what seems to be the matter?" I wonder standing between him and my brother
"Nothing, sweetheart." he joined the party once more
"Chuck."
"We were just talking about my wish for another investment." Chuck informed me "An old speakeasy." I grinned
"A speak easy, that's amazing. He's going to invest right?" He didn't say anything "He isn't is he?" I realised
"He's disappointed that I stand behind another alcohol establishment." I sigh
"Do you want me to speak to him?"
"You can't save me every time Rose, besides i thought you weren't speaking with me."
"Chuck, we annoy each other cross boundaries and not speak for a while. But you are still my twin. Now how can I help?" I answered
"You can't this time. I mean it Rose, drop it." he left me alone. I scowl.
