People really shouldn't underestimate me. I picked the lock leading into the main house. Once I was there I unlocked the front door and left. I made my way to Dan's place and by the time I got there he just got off the phone.
"You know for the first 20 minutes I was pissed." he turned around sharply "Now I'm just impressed, you proved with your little stunt you can actually keep up with me and my occasional divine ways."
"How did you get out?" he questioned completely confused as to how I was standing in front of him.
"Hello, to you too. As for my escape let's just say some of my Nannies didn't get a thorough background check. Ms Isabella had a miss spent youth before she turned it around. She taught me a few things." I sit myself on the sofa and cross my legs
"Look, I know I tricked you and I'm sorry it's just this is way over your head." he apologised.
"Dan. Daniel. Stop. Look you could have just asked me not to do anything. But you trapped me in a basement."
"I know you, once you've got into something, you won't let go." he sat down next to me
"The old me wouldn't have. This me, the one you have influence over is a little bit more easier to sway. Not all the time but..." I sigh taking his hands "They stole money from people, more importantly Lily and your Dad, Serena just wanted a chance to fix things. I was willing to let her do that before I did what I needed to do."
"Then I'm asking you to stay here. I am asking you to not get involved this time please. Rose." I sigh and nod
"Okay, okay. Just please no more basements." he chuckled "I'm gonna go downstairs and wash, I feel grease from even spending five minutes in a dusty and grimy place. Where is my phone." he handed it to me.
"I will be back up later." I kiss his cheek and head downstairs.

Once I was out of the shower, dressed and dried I checked my phone. I had a bunch of missed calls and a few voicemails. I ignored them for now and went back upstairs. Jenny was back.
"hey, I haven't see you all day." Jenny smiled hugging me
"I've been tied up. So what has been going on?" I asked sitting with them at the table
"Dad is gonna propose to Lily, he has this whole romantic dinner set out with everything she likes." Jenny beamed
"Wow, that's just...wow." I smile. The three of stalk for hours when the door opens and closes.
"Hey Dad, so what did she say?" Jenny wondered
"I don't think it's the right time." he puts the ring box down and goes to his room.
I guess something went wrong, per usual.
