PART 24

Two updates in two days?! Yep! I did it for three reasons.

1. I wanted to make up for not uploading for 2 weeks

 PART 24

Hadley’s P.O.V.

The first thing I did after waking up was texting Liam, asking if everything between him and Jason was ok. He told me he wanted to talk to me.

I gulped.

What did he want to tell me?

DO NOT MAKE ANY SCENARIOS! my inner voice yelled

Right.

I stood up and after having a shower, I slipped into some white shorts and a blue tank top, I took off. I was shaking during the whole ride. Maybe I should have called a cab. I was too upset to drive. When I saw the Browns’ mansion I sighed in relief. I got out of the car walked to the door. My heart was bouncing once again. I had to go. I had to leave. Liam was in love with Shay and I knew it and I just couldn’t listen to him saying out loud. I turned around, ready to leave, but his voice stopped me.

“Hadley, come back” he said

“Liam, I came here to talk to you but right now, it doesn’t seem like a good idea”

“We-need-to-talk” he said, stating every word

I groaned. “Please?”

“Come with me, Had” he said closing the door

I let him take my hand. We went to the pool. He sat down and shoved his feet in the water after kicking his shoes away from us. I did the same and sat down next to him. We used to do that a lot when we were younger. Every time, we ended up into the water. He would throw me and I would drag him in. Moments of innocence… I missed them. Everything was so simple back then…

“So, hum, is everything ok with Jason?” I asked breaking the awkward silence

“Yep. It was difficult but we’re cool now”

*Liam’s Flashback*

When Jason came back in, I was ready to get beaten up. I was sure Jason and Hadley talked about the ‘incident’ and knowing Jason, I knew he wasn’t happy. He leaned against the door next to me and crossed his arms across his chest. After some sighs he finally spoke.

“You’re an asshole” he whispered

“I know” I muttered

“Damn, you always liked her”

“No”

“Yes. You can’t be a girl’s best friend if you don’t like her. And girls being more romantic always fall in love first without even acknowledging it”

“Not true. Hadley loved YOU ever since I knew her”

Even though he tried to hide it, I saw him smiling.
