Stolen Emotions

I forget I'm complacent.

I'm tired of the absence of emotion being the only thing
I'm capable of feeling because of you...

Cause I swear-
I saw it in your eyes when we were singing Frank Ocean,

I felt it in your touch when we were riding the motions

I knew you were gone
and all this was hopeless

Yet I wanted you bad
so I carried on-

Stolen emotions.

Now that my mind is corroded,
Now that my heart is torn open-
I'll hide from your face cause when I see it,

I close in.

You're arrogant-
Your entitlement and ill intentions
Were too much to mess with,
So I thought that it would wear thin.

How you sit distant in Science by yourself,
That doesn't hurt me-
But the way I know you look
at the back of my head
can get me,
And the way I know shits going on
in yours
can distract me,
Your eyes that are no longer fire but ash,
They hurt me...

Cause I swear-
I saw it in those eyes when we were singing Frank Ocean,

I felt it in your touch when we were riding the motions

I knew you were gone and everything was hopeless

Yet I wanted you bad
so I carried on-

Stolen emotions.

I wish I could say I saw it in your eyes, but that would be
a lie-
Instead, I saw it in your camera roll,
nudes
over nudes
Too many girls-
too much to do
To think I could become
but just a photo
to you
Was beyond my comprehension.

To say you broke my trust would be
an understatement,
Not showing up
Hours of waiting,
And you never made it-
You'd found a replacement
Leave me on the driveway.
And I forget I'm complacent.

I forget I'm complacent

I forget I'm complacent...

Stolen emotions.
