Hollywood's Puppet
Do films
imitate life,
Or does life
imitate films?
People showing up
just to
disappear
in the next shot
"I love you"s
said on cue
but read off a script
Stage lights
being blinded by
fake smiles
Secret scandals
exposed through
violated poetry
Girls taking off clothes
just to earn
a coin or connection
Men pinning women against walls
in trailers
to reel in
audiences
Oscars given
to the most
convincing liars
And last but not least,
the rolling credits,
where beside every character name would be
'Hollywood's puppet'
