Can't See

i want my room to be as dark as
poetry

finding comfort in the smell of fresh laundry and paint

duvet contouring to my imperfect body

gold accents match the locket that used to have her name in it

a new girl's body nestled in mine can be the centrepiece

yes, i find comfort in artificial darkness

but turn the lights out and you've lost my trust.
