Heart

The heart is a canvas;

It’s been stroked with canary yellows and deep navy,

Everything I do is because of you,

You’ve painted it so effortlessly,

You didn’t have to endure but one small look,

One slight adjustment,

And a small step back to see the whole picture,

What you’ve created,

Colours so bright the komorebi itself would find it admiring such beauty,

Desiring an artist with such a loving hand,

I hope to have created an equally extravagant piece upon yours,

Stroked with deep blues,

All your doing with my welfare at heart,

I can only wish that it took but one small glance,

One slight adjustment,

And a small step back to see the whole picture,

What I’ve created,

Colours so knowing even the ancient sky would covet such understanding,

Desiring an artist with such a loving hand,

You are an artist as well as a masterpiece.
