Apparition 18: Unfortunate meeting

Natsuhiko's expression suddenly became serious. His eyes would give a glance to his surroundings, and then you in due time. "So tell me, [Y/N]..."

Your shoulders jolted once he began his sentence. What's gotten into him?! He didn't have a problem with flirting away earlier! Hesitant to reply, you swallowed the uncomfortable sensation known as nervousness.

"Y-Y-..Yes?" You replied to him, witnessing his free hand push into his pocket. The male suddenly closed his eyes, sighing. "Why.."

"Why haven't you given me your number yet?!"

As you turned into stone, rippling with numerous cracks, Natsuhiko took a step back with his phone urged to your [E/C] hues while he covered his face with his arm. "It's been driving me crazy! A sweet chick like you.. wandering around without my number in your contact list!!"

You could hear him wailing, though by then you'd lost interest completely with your look of pure bewilderment. When he noticed your expression, his phone lowered slightly, composed from his overdramatic tantrum. "What's up with that look?!" His head hung low for a second, "Anyways... I'm being serious, lemme have your number, cutie."

It looked like this guy wasn't going to give up, no matter what you do. A smirk residing on his lips, you never wanted to cringe before until now.

"Y-You see... I recently bought a new phone, so I really don't know my number by heart yet.." You instinctively lied to him to slip by, yet Natsuhiko persisted.

"I'll give you my number, then." He said nonchalantly. As you forced a smile, there was mild irritation growing between your demeanor. He seriously couldn't take a hint! Well, it was either that.. or he'd been too busy feigning ignorance.

"She's obviously not interested," A voice was directed to the two of you. "Do you want me to report you, Hyuuga?" Someone crossed their arms as soon as he was within the perimeter, his blue eyes more than stern.

Your eyes greeting Teru's, the male offered a gentle smile once your gazes crossed paths, before looking right back at your upperclassman who was in the middle of returning his phone into his pocket. Kou had also joined the frey, appearing quite interested in the current conversation at hand.

Natsuhiko pressed his hand to the nape of his neck, an awkward chuckle leaving him. "Can you blame me for getting on her nerves? She's so beautiful that I want to get to know her!"

Suddenly, Kou seemed a little agitated, and his brother had acknowledged this. He seemed like he wanted to do something-- anything-- that would get the shameless guy to go away. "[Y/N] has a boyfriend y'know, so stop bothering her!" Announced the young man, leading to everyone's surprise.

Even he didn't know what he was saying.. but he didn't want to dwell on it.

"Uh.. You do..? Why didn't you mention that earlier?" Natsuhiko would look at you, just like Teru. You ended up extremely startled as a red rushed to your face, and your hands had risen a little as you were about to shake your head. "U-..Um-- I--!"

Kou noticing this, he immediately took your wrist and dragged you off and towards the school entrance, leaving the other two behind and completely dumbfounded.

You could only witness Kou's backside at the moment, yet when your eyes trailed up to the back of his head, his ears were as cherry as they could get. For some reason, your heart thumped in your chest, and it gradually sped up. You were puzzled.

"K.. Kou...?"

His brother on the other hand, watched from the distance as the both of you started to grow further apart from him. Sighing, he scratched his cheek as he'd already understood what was at play here.
