It was like you didn't understand, for you stood there-- eyes agape and limbs at a halt. Teru had also found trouble in accepting reality. He looked at you, rubbing his nape. "...Very funny, Kou--"

"I'm not joking around! I have no idea who she is! That's why.. I'm asking now..." His gaze seemed distraught, and for now he avoided looking at you.

A bullet of sweat ran down Teru's cheek in disbelief. If it was a difficult pill to swallow for him.. then who knows how it must've felt for you. By the time pairs of eyes returned onto you, you were looking down at your feet habitually.. stoic and silent.

You didn't make your thoughts obvious. In fact, Teru was very surprised. Knowing your character... he thought you'd break down, but this heartbroken discovery didn't jerk a tear from you. When you finally straightened your head to look at Kou, you breathed in as if welcoming your confidence.

Stepping closer, you extended your hand towards the exorcist.

Things were already surprising.. and now to see you act like you didn't care about his amnesia at all... it was admirable, to say the least. The brothers were staring at your hand-- and for a long time, at that-- processing the gesture itself.

Kou frowned to himself, before slowly yet surely drifting his hues up to you. The blanket on his lap was being clenched by him furthermore, and he remained unresponsive for a few minutes. "Let's start over then, Kou!" You exclaimed in decidedness, prompting for his eyes to widen. Left in captivation when you tilted your head and forced out a friendly smile, it wiped his mind clean of it's troubles.

"My name is [F/N] [L/N], I'm your upperclassman and I'm currently living with you at the Minamoto residence." Because of you, it felt like something had broke within his chest. A peculiar emotion arose... one that he couldn't ignore. "I'll be honest.. we've been through a lot together... so finding those memories may be next to impossible." You admitted.

There was a moment of silence when he released the blanket, steadily bringing his hand to grasp onto yours in a firm handshake. The both of you stared at one another, until Kou committed a bold action. A simple and effortless tug had you stumbling forward, yet the only way you could soften your landing was on the boy himself.

When your eyes pinched closed to receive impact, you felt a warm embrace at your torso, followed by a press of his masculine hand to your head, coaxing it to his shoulder.

Your face heated up in only seconds, and not only that-- you broke down into jitters. "Kou--! What are you-"

"..I'm sorry..."

His voice was shaky, hushed, and apologetic. He must have known that you would question the reason behind his apology, and so he parted his lips. "...For losing my memory ... I know you must've been important to me."

While your face turned immensely red, you would also crinkle up your face and bite on your lip, holding back the persistent tears that desperately squeezed past your eyelids. Kou's other hand patted your back upon feeling your trembles, his own expression greatly pained. His brother was in bare witness to this, it caused him to grow skeptic and sad.

"I..It's okay... r-really! I'm just glad you're not dead!" You tried to sound unmoved, but your body language made it appear otherwise.

You immediately tore yourself away from him and turned your head away, not at all wanting him to take a gander at your face. "I'll get going now.. Rest up, Kou." Standing up rather quickly and proceeding to the exit, the exorcist could read you like a book.

Kou released a sigh, taking a look at his palm intently. Meanwhile his brother crossed his arms and knitted his brows as he stared at his sullen appearance. "Hey.. were you...-"
