And just like that, another week of chaos came to a close. Throughout the night you couldn't sleep at all, you were busy dwelling on guilt.
On numerous occasions, Kou wanted to check up on you, but he thought it would be disrespectful and not to mention strange if he appeared at your door at the dead of night.
Once the weekend strolled by subtly, you awoke to your alarm clock and the fact that the Minamoto's youngest member, Tiara, threw herself onto your bed and overlapped your figure wrapped in your blanket. "Good morning, [Y/N]! Teru sent me to wake you up!"
You were startled and pulled the blankets from your face, shocked from her greeting. "H-Huh--" Because of the commotion, it hadn't been long when Teru appeared at your doorway, currently in the middle of folding his uniform tie around his neck.
"I didn't say jump on her like that," His brows knitted, "I apologize [Y/N], but on the bright side.. it looks like she's warmed up to you quickly."
Tiara smiled at you brightly, meanwhile you were bringing your blankets close to your chest, your mind trying to comprehend everything that was occurring. "It's.. okay..?" What a way to begin your morning.
"Kou's making breakfast, so come downstairs with us!" Tiara was insistently tugging your hand, energetically coaxing you off of your bed. The drowsiness was written on your face, and because of your lethargy there was no retaliation from you as you allowed your body to be moved on it's own.
The three of you descended down the stairs, the wood creaking in the process. And once you stopped at the dining table, it was already covered by a nice and traditional japanese-styled breakfast. Miso soup, grilled fish, Tsukemono (dried pickles), Nori (dried seaweed), and other small dishes.
Normally people would see this as a meal, however it was far different than you might think. Despite what it looks like, their breakfast wasn't intended to be too light or too filling.
Everyone cooed at the delightful breakfast, meanwhile Kou would've been seen approaching the table with a bowl of rice in his hands. "Oh you guys are here, good morning." He seemed to be fine, completely unbothered.
Yet when he sneaked a small peek at you, he'd begin to stare for a while. You on the other hand avoided making eye contact, proceeding to sit down quietly. Teru sighed at the tense atmosphere, pulling out a chair for his younger sister. "Is it me, or.. after yesterday, you two haven't been talking to each other much?"
You jerked. Of course it was obvious.. but it would've been better off had it not been mentioned. "O-Oh, yes..." You honestly replied. Teru's brother laid the bowl of rice down among the other dishes gathered on the table, currently as quiet as a mouse. He was pondering.
Untying the apron around his waist, he hung it on the nearest apron rack with ease and then went to take a seat at the table. To your surprise, he made sure to sit beside you, scooting in his chair before lifting his chopsticks.
Despite what you said yesterday, he was not going to avoid you.
Breakfast was a quiet one, all due to the complications between you and Kou. You were more than certain that he had a bombardment of questions, you even caught yourself impatiently waiting for one to slip past his lips.
Your hopes were crushed since he didn't utter a peep, he only made conversation with aimless subjects. Now patting his stomach and standing to his feet, Kou grinned. "Breakfast was great, right everyone?"
For the most part, all of you came to gesture your agreeance by nodding, although-- Tiara's compliments that were showered onto him overmatched things.
