I woke up the next morning in bed; Liam was nowhere around. I got up and went down to the living room, it was empty.
I frowned looking at the clock, it was just after eleven.

"Babe?"

"In the kitchen"

I smiled walking in the doorway. "I thought you left"

He turned from his place at the stove with a smile. "Where would I have to go?"

I shrugged. "I don't know, you always disappear on me"

"But I always come back"

I nodded with a smile coming up behind him. "What are you doing?"

"What's it look like?" He asked

"Looks like you're making breakfast" I smiled wrapping his arms around his waist and leaning on his shoulder.

"Mhm" He nodded, one of his hands closing over mine on his waist as his other hand was busy with a spatula pushing eggs around a pan.

"Smells good"

I went to the cupboard and got us plates.

We ate eggs and bacon and did the dishes before we got dressed. I found my sweat pants from college and Liam's oversized Adidas sweater. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail.
Liam had on his sweats too; we curled up on the couch with a blanket and watched a bunch of classic 80's movies all day; Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Planes Trains and Automobiles, and The Breakfast Club.
We ate our body weights worth in popcorn and coke.

I sighed snuggling against Liam. "I love this"

"What's that?"

"Lazy days" I smiled.

"Is that some strange American thing?" Liam asked watching the TV?"

"What?"

"Dancing in the middle of the street in New York singing Twist and Shout"

"They're in Chicago," I laughed a little.

He shook his head. "Revolution would have been a better choice."

"It's a movie, sweetie"

"And what kind of a stupid name is that?" He asked looking at me, gesturing to the TV. "Ferris...fucking stupid"

I laughed shaking my head just letting him go; he obviously wasn't listening to me anyway.

"Is that what you lot do over there?" He asked, "Just play dead and then run 'round the city?"

"Over there?" I asked amused.

"In the States" he nodded like I was an idiot for not knowing what "over there" meant.

"He didn't play dead," I laughed again, "He faked sick"

"Like that whiney cunt" he pointed to the set ignoring me again; I looked to see who he meant.

"Cameron?"

"He's fuckin' worse than Noel; should've left 'im at home, could've 'ad a good shag if he'd done that"

That made me laugh out loud and Liam just shrugged. "Well he could 'ave"

For the remainder of the movie Liam asked rhetorical questions that I answered anyway; most of which questioned the sanity of Americans, since apparently if you didn't live in Europe that's what you were.
I had never laughed so hard while watching this particular movie. Just like anything else I'd done with Liam, it was an adventure.

The movie ended and Liam moved to turn on the light. I grabbed his arm and pulled it back down.

"Leave it off"

"But it's over"

"I know, but I'm comfy; so don't move"

He just laughed but left the light off. "Don't you think you'd be more comfortable in bed?"

I shook my head snuggling as close as I could and he moved, stretching out on the couch putting me in the crook of his arm before he wrapped his arms around me and shut off the TV.

We laid in the darkness quietly for a few minutes before Liam spoke.

"Y'know babe, I was thinkin' about somethin',"

I hummed questioningly, my eyes closed as I rested on his chest.

"We can do the party bit later on; I just want t'be married to you"

I opened my eyes and sat up slightly looking at him. "You do?"

I thought for a minute; had I said that out loud earlier? I'd had that same thought, but now I couldn't remember if I'd told him or not.

He nodded. "Just get a couple of witnesses, go down to the courthouse an' be done with it"

God he was perfect.

"When?" I asked.

"Right now"

"The courthouse is closed" I laughed. "It's almost eleven thirty"

"First thing in the mornin' then, six o'clock"

"It opens at eight" I smiled

"As soon as humanly fucking possible" He crushed me in a hug against his chest. "How's that?" He asked through clenched teeth.

I bit his chest through the sweatshirt laughing when he jumped.

"Ow!" He laughed pushing me back by the shoulders. I sat back on my heels. "That fuckin' 'urt"

I grinned at him leaning closer to his face; he was propped on the arm of the couch. "Good, that's what you get."

"What the hell for?"

"Trying to suffocate me," I smirked. "That's spousal abuse"

"Not for another eight hours"

His hand grabbed the back of my head under my ponytail and pulled me closer, I shrieked with a laugh trying to push him off as his teeth nipped my neck.

He pulled me closer, leaning my forehead against his, his hand still holding the back of my head. "This time tomorrow you'll be Mrs Liam Gallagher" He smiled.

I smiled back equally as excited before he kissed me, his thumb stroked my cheek.
None of the other shit that had been going on mattered right at that particular second. I loved Liam, and he loved me; that's all there was too it.
He was the best thing to ever happen to me and there was no way in hell I was about to lose that; not to Noel or anyone else. Liam was mine and I was his. I wasn't about to give that up for anything.
