I stood by the door, Liam behind me as the rest of them made their way over to the table where Noel sat.
Liam walked around me to the bar, his hands on my shoulders as he talked close to my ear over the music.

"Want a beer?"

I nodded not taking my eyes off Noel's little tart. I started to walk over to the table and Noel looked up as he saw me coming.
Liam came up behind me and held a beer over my shoulder in front of me and kissed my cheek.

I took it with a smile, temporarily distracted from Noel. "Thanks"

We walked over to the table and I sat next to Guigsy across the table from Noel.

He glared at me. "Lyla...”

"Hello, Noel"

Liam sat on my other side. "Noelie" he smiled. "Who's this fine piece?" He asked looking at the blonde sitting next to Noel.

I punched him in the arm. "The only "piece" you better be looking at is mine"

"Her name's Rebecca"

"Hi" she smiled.

I smiled sweetly. "Hi" I looked at Noel. "Aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Rebecca, bitch, bitch, Rebecca"

"Lyla," I glared at him. "My name's Lyla"

"You live here?" She asked

I shook my head. "Manchester"

"You don't sound English"

I sighed. "I'm from Canada, I moved to Manchester a few months ago"

She nodded.

We sipped our beers and Noel looked extremely infuriated that I'd become fast friends with his new little toy.

I glanced at him across the table; he talked about being able to see through my bullshit, that's exactly what this Rebecca bitch was; his payback.

If he thought I was going to go ballistic over it he was in for a treat.

"Do you want a drink?" I asked her.

She nodded with a smile.

I looked at Liam. "Can you?"

He nodded slightly confused. "Sure"

He looked at Noel who was equally as confused.

"I'll help you" Rebecca smiled getting up from the table.

The other three had dispersed out into the bar somewhere; leaving Noel and me by ourselves.

"What the fuck are y'doin'?" He asked quietly, sipping his beer.

"I have no idea what you're talking about" I leaned across the table.

"With Rebecca” He said. "You're bein'-"

"Nice?" I asked with a smirk.

"Knock it off"

"You're a piece of work. You think your little tartlet is going to make me jealous?"

"There y'go again" he sat back in his chair. "Thinkin' the whole world revolves around Lyla"

"Look me in the eye and tell me that's not what she's here for"

"It's not" he glanced up at me.

"You're a terrible liar"

Liam and Rebecca returned with two beers a piece, one for each of us. I smiled at Rebecca as she slid mine across the table.
