It Was an Accident, I Swear

"Doctor!" I hissed, pushing him into a shop.
"This is ridiculous. The two of you keep running smack into each other. Paradoxes!" I ridiculed. He grinned at me.
"You're not my mother, Scarlet. But, God, you make bossy sexy." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm trying to save Earth right now." I informed him.
"And you're doing an adorable job." He said in a congratulatory way.
"Mhm. I imagine. Come on, this way." I took his hand and let him out of the shop, passing River without looking at her. My Doctor visibly relaxed when we passed them.
"I wonder what's the big event of the day." I told him, stepping out onto the street. A car zoomed past me. The only reason it didn't smash me flat was because the Doctor snatched me back. I was breathing heavily.
"Thanks." I managed. He said nothing.
"Come on."

After several mishaps with me almost ending dead, the Doctor decided he knew the fixed point.
"We're leaving." He told me.
"Doctor! We'd destroy the universe." I pressed.
"I am not losing you. I don't care about the universe." He growled, dragging me back towards the TARDIS.
"Doctor!" I said, pulling away from him. I heard the clank of metallic feet and my hearts froze in my chest.
"Scarlet Smith will come with us." I turned to face the Cybermen.
"Or what? What will you do to me?" I demanded.
"You will be deleted." They bargained.
"Fair enough." The Doctor caught my arm.
"If you go with him, you'll die." He looked distraught.
"Old man, you should know me by now. I don't intend on going without a fight." I turned to the cyberman and stuck my hand to his chest. It began jerking violently. I pulled away as the thing started to smoke. I smiled, and then winced. Oh God, oh God, oh God.
"I'm so sorry, Doctor."

(DOCTOR'S POINT OF VIEW)

Scarlet pulled away triumphantly. She had actually managed to rewrite her DNA while I was away. Just enough so that when she touched metal it electrocuted. She was planning for a cyberman to find her.
"I'm so sorry, Doctor." She turned to me. I looked at her confusedly.
"What're you sorry for?" I questioned. She was crying, a big fat tear snaking down her face.
"It was an accident, I swear. I really tried. I'm so sorry." She continued.
"What?" I demanded, my hearts beating increasing.
"Tell me you love me." She said.
"Scarlet-" I started.
"Say it!" She stressed.
"I love you. More than anything." She gave a nod, a half smile on her face.
"I love you, too. And I want you to leave now." She said.
"Leave, why on earth would I leave? I just got you back." I reminded her.
"I don't want you to see me die." She convulsed, collapsing. I didn't move fast enough to catch her, but I pulled her into my lap. Her kaleidoscope eyes met mine.
"You've got six more regenerations, Scarlet." I insisted.
"Listening in on my conversations with Jack? I lied. This is my twelfth." I felt my mouth drop open.
"You can't leave me." I started. The blood from where the cyberman had injected the poison was staining her shirt.
"I'm so sorry." Scarlet took a stuttering breath and breathed no more.
