Dinosaurs on a Spaceship

It was nearing night and I still had to wait in the blasted spaceship since the Doctor told me to. When he finally came in with a man named Riddell, I felt his gaze stop on me. A smile started to play on his lips and I looked away, repelled. The Doctor didn't notice.

"We've two more people to pick up." He murmured.

"Hello!" The trio appeared in the spaceship, the TARDIS having materializing around them. I shook my head and put my hand to my face, trying to cover my embarassment for him. "You weren't busy, were you? Well, even if you were, it wasn't an interesting as this probably is. Didn't want you to miss it. Now, just a quick hop..." While the TARDIS took off I took the liberty of introducing myself to them.
"Oh, we know you. Well, future you. I'm Amy, and this is my husband, Rory. And this is his dad, Brian." The lightbulb in Brian's hand shattered.

"That man can be extremely, well, himself." I said to Amy.
"I couldn't agree more." She said.

"Everybody grab a torch." He passed them out. We stepped outside the TARDIS, noticing the cobwebs and dust everywhere.
"Spiders. Don't normally get spiders in space." The Doctor mused. Brian stumbled out of the spaceship and guffawed.
"What the-" He couldn't finish his sentence before the Doctor was approaching him

"Don't move! Do you really think I'm that stupid I wouldn't notice? How did you get on board, eh? Transmat? Who sent you?" I went to defend him.

"Doctor, that's my dad." Rory said before I could.

"Well, frankly, that's outrageous." He harrumphed.

"What?" Rory demanded.

"You think you can just bring your dad along without asking? I'm not a taxi service, you know." The Doctor said sourly.
"You did materialize around them." I offered. He seemed to consider.

"Oh, well, that's fine then. My mistake. Hello, Brian, how are you? Nice to meet you. Welcome, welcome. This is the gang. I've got a gang. Come on, then, everyone." The Doctor said cheerily.

"Tell him something, quick." Amy whispered to Rory.

"Yes, thank you!" Rory stressed, already trying to figure something out. I shook my head slightly, continuing to look around the room, shining the torchlight this way and that.

"I'm not entirely sure what's going on." Brain said.
"You know when Amy and I first got married and we went travelling?" Rory started.

"To Thailand." He remembered.
"More the entirety of space in time in that police box." Rory would have continued but the ship moved under our feet, shaking. I threw my hands out for balance.

"Alright, where are we? What is that noise? And hello, ten months?" I think I liked Amy so far, the way she dared the Doctor to argue with her.
"Well, I sense it's orbiting. More like pre-crashing. On a spaceship, don't know, and hello, Pond. Ten months. Time flies. Never understood that phrase. This is the Scarlet you don't know and Riddell. They're with me." The Doctor said cheerily. Amy jabbed her thumb in the direction of Riddell.
"Charmed." Riddell managed before Amy spoke.

"With you? He's with you? Are they the new us? Is that why we haven't seen you in ten months?" She became defensive.

"No. He's just... people. They're not Ponds. I thought we might need a new gang. Not really had a gang before. It's new." A big, bulkhead door at the far end of the room lit up with red lights on either side of it.

"It's coming down." I said.

"What is?" Riddell asked of me.

"No idea." The Doctor answered. The doors opened with a thump and revealed two large, armored creatures backlit very a very bright light.

"Not possible." Brian managed.

"Run!" The Doctor and I shouted simultaneously, but neither of us moved. We simply marveled.
"Doctor!" I said excitedly.
"I know! Dinosaurs! On a spaceship!" He laughed before a hand was pulling us both away from the stampeding ankylosarus.

"In here!" I dashed into a sort of alcove, a closet almost. The annoyed dinosaurs stopped outside the door. Riddell got out his knife.

"I could take one of them. Short blow up into the throat." I was appalled.
"Or not!" I said angrily.
"We just found dinosaurs in space! We need to preserve them." The Doctor backed me up.

"Yeah, well, who's preserving us?" He demanded.

"Shush." Amy told him. The ankylosauruses moved past our door, milling about.

"Okay, so, how and who's ship?" Rory asked for all of us. Silence answered.
