"You have no idea what you're doing." I warned the Master. He looked at me, too thrilled to care.
"The Time Lords are back. Isn't that what we all wanted, Scarlet?" The Master asked. He was standing in front of the five returned Time Lords, one of which made my breath catch in my throat. She was knealed, hands covering her face, but I knew her too well. I longed to go and sit by her like I used to, looking out at the red grass that swayed in the winds and of letting her tell me every single secret in the universe to me. Those secrets included the secrets the Doctor had long forgotten, ones of him growing up in Academy, his immediate fixation on me whenever we met. His locksmith, I became. We didn't know back then about the soulmates. I knew the Doctor wanted to see her an infinite amount of times more than I did but he restrained himself.
It was his mother, not mine, I reminded myself. But how I missed her. (A/N Guys! The woman is actually his mother but it was taken out of the script because... well, it's Moffat! But this is actually his mom! Thought you all might want to know)
"Listen to me. You can't." The Doctor stressed with great worry to the Master, who completely ignored him.
"It is a fitting paradox that our salvation comes at the hands of our most infamous child." Rassilon said to him. I noticed the man opposite the Doctor's mother and almost let out a choked scream. How dare they make him stand in such way? He was a hero, a legend. He was a great man in the position of same. My father.
"Oh, he's not saving you. Don't you realise what he's doing?" The Doctor demanded."Hey, no, hey! That's mine. Hush. Look around you. I've transplanted myself into every single human being. But who wants a mongrel little species like them, because now I can transplant myself into every single Time Lord. Oh, yes, Mister President, sir, standing there all noble and resplendent and decrepit. Think how much better you're going to look as me." Instead of trying to smite the Master like I would have done, the Lord President holds up his gauntlet. It started to glow, reworking the intracacies of the template the Master had set on the human population. Immediately, everyone was restored.
No, no, don't. No, no, stop it! No, no, no, don't!" The Master cried out. It was too late.
"On your knees, mankind." Somehow they all heard him. Somehow, they all obeyed.
"No, that's fine, that's good, because you said salvation. I still saved you. Don't forget that." Master said.
"The approach begins." Rassilon looked towards the sky and I cursed under my breath.
"Approach of what?" Master demanded.
"Something is returning. Don't you ever listen? That was the prophecy. Not someone, something." The Doctor told him.
"But what is it?" He demanded.
"They're not just bringing back the species. It's Gallifrey. Right here, right now." I told him, looking towards the sky as well. There it was, the big orange planet. Right in front of earth. My home, the Doctor's home, the Master's home.
I couldn't have been more afraid.
