(DOCTOR'S POINT OF VIEW)
(TEN)
A small woman, young with red hair and the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen walked into me. I caught her before she could fall. She immediately began to apologize, but I noticed she was crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked her, pulling her to a bench.
"My best friend disappeared. Months, now. I'll be back, he promised. I can't find him. I've looked all over London, and- why am I telling you this?" She demanded of herself. She seemed to realize what she was doing.
"I have that affect on people." I admitted.
"I've got to go. Sophie'll be worried-" she tried to leave.
"Wait!" She hesitated.
"You're scared of me." I realized.
"Don't be ridiculous. I've seen stuff of nightmares. A normal bloke like yourself doesn't scare me." She crossed her arms over her chest, staring at me defiantly.
"I've seen people die." I tried.
"Universes collapse." She tried.
"An entire war ended with everyone dying."
"My entire race is dead."
"Daleks."
"Fallagouram."
"An entire planet burning."
"I have two hearts!" She seemed flustered that she would admit such.
"You've seen a Fallagouram? I thought those were fake." I said.
"Are you my Doctor?" She asked.
"I am the Doctor. Several people would lay claim to me." I admitted.
"You bloody idiot!" She exclaimed, leaping to her feet and punching me.
"What was that for?" I demanded.
"You just flew off in the bloody TARDIS and left me for months. Well, you will. I can't believe you!" I winced.
"Scarlet Smith. We're soulmates." She extended a hand out to me.
"Sorry?" I questioned. She rolled her eyes.
"The legends of Gallifrey, Doctor? Every Time Lord has a soul mate. Hello." She smiled.
"You can't be my soulmate." I told her.
"That's rude. How dare you? First you leave me and now you insult me?" She demanded.
"No, there's someone-"
"Doctor!" Scarlet went rigid. River stopped beside me.
"Who's this?" River Song asked.
"Scarlet." She said.
"I'm Professor River Song." The two women seemed to size each other up.
"That's fine, Doctor. Peachy. I'll just keep looking for my Doctor." She turned to leave when I looked torn.
My wife or my soul mate...
"Scarlet!" I kissed River and ran after the redhead. "Scarlet!"

(SCARLET'S POINT OF VIEW)

I ducked down an alley, trying desperately to shake this Doctor that was not mine.
"Scarlet!" He shouted, passing where u had gone.
I followed the space between the buildings, grinning at what I found.
"Hello, TARDIS." There were two TARDISes parked across from each other. Totally inconspicuous.
My Doctors are idiots. I patted the one closest to me and opened the door, taking in the unfamiliar insides.
"Not mine." I concluded.
I opened the other and let out a glorious whoop.
"Doctor!" I shouted, seeing the bow tie wearing Time Lord.
"What have you done?" He demanded of me.
"Months. Months I go without hearing a word from you and I get reprimanded when I see you?" I demanded.
"Look at my poor baby. She's practically crying. Someone has put a fixed point on this day and it wasn't me. So it was you. What have you done?" I took a step back.
"I met past you. And a woman named River. Who was she?" I asked.
"You met River? No, you were never supposed to meet her!" He exclaimed.
"Why? Was she... Your wife?" I demanded.
"It was before I met you. If it helps, I'm also married to Queen Elizabeth I and Marilyn Monroe." My mouth dropped.
"I'm glad to know this. I can't believe this! And I didn't do anything except for look for you!" I exclaimed.
"Then what is the fixed point?" He demanded.
"Could you at least pretend you're glad to see me?" I asked. "I've missed you." The TARDIS door closed behind me and he walked towards me, resting his forehead on mine.
"I just left you, Scarlet." He told me. I opened my eyes.
"It's been months." I told him.
"You've met me now. We can leave- we can go anywhere-" he started to get excited. "Right after we find this fixed point." He told me, pressing a kiss to my lips and opening the door.
"What about the fact that you're running around out there?" I asked.
"That almost won't matter." He assured me.
"Almost?" I questioned.
"I'm pretty sure we don't meet up anywhere." He agreed.
"And if you do, you'll rip the world apart." I reminded him.
"I guess we'd better be careful, then."
