You start to wake up slowly surrounded by monitors. You can see your Mom and Carina speaking outside the door, Arizona is sat by your side holding your hand with her head bowed down.

"Mhmm" You try to speak, your head is spinning.

"Grace? Oh finally!" Arizona cries. "You need to stop doing this" She laughs.

"I'll try not to next time" You laugh.

Then it hits you, you're pregnant.

"Omg!" You start to panic, you swing your legs out of the bed and sit up, you're disorientated and confused. You start to breakdown.

"Hey, hey, Grace it's okay" Arizona reassures, she gently helps you back into bed and puts a wet cloth on your head, your temperature is slightly raised still.

"Oh Arizona, what am I going to do?" You start sobbing quietly.

She says nothing, she just let's you know that she's there for you no matter what. Meredith and Carina walk quietly back into your room, Meredith gives you a small smile and sits on the end of your bed. Carina comes and sits next to you.

"Grace sweetie, we're going to have to give you a scan, just to see how far along you are, and we need to check everything is okay with you." Carina says calmly.

"I'll be here the whole time Grace, you're not alone." Meredith reiterates.

"Do I have your consent Grace?" Carina asks.

"Guys, I just need a minute okay? Like some space or something? This is a lot to take in and I feel crowded okay!" You shout. Your monitors start beeping.

"Okay, we'll go Grace, stay calm okay? You need to keep your blood pressure down. We'll be right outside." Meredith reminded.

"Look, I'll stay, just in case she gets dizzy again, she can't be left alone." Arizona commented.

You nod, you need someone right now, even if you're pushing everyone away. Carina and Meredith leave, leaving you alone with Arizona.

The silence speaks a thousand words. Arizona goes over and shuts the blinds. Without you saying anything, she comes and lays next to you, she puts your head on her chest and puts her arms around you. You start sobbing quietly, no words are exchanged, but you know she's there for you. You sit up and slowly start to calm down.

"Arizona, I know this is unconventional, but I want you to do the ultrasound. You make me feel safe, I trust you. I don't want loads of people from OB peering through the door and speculating. I want you Arizona!" You start crying again.

"Oh Grace, of course I'll do it! If that's what you really want. I'll go and speak to Carina and get the ultrasound machine brought down here, no-one has to know until you're ready, okay? I'll be right back" Arizona states.

You're left on your own for about half an hour, it gives you lots of time to think, and decide what you want to do from this point forward. You think long and hard about the best decision to make, what is right for this baby? You feel rage, excitement and upset. If you were truly to get over Jack, do you really need a constant reminder of what happened back at your house those 2 months ago? Yet again, a baby might just be what you need? It'll help you to step up and find unknown confidence in yourself and your abilities. But what does this mean for your job, and you and Arizona if you keep this baby? Only time will tell. But you are now certain of one thing, you are keeping this precious baby and nurturing this beautiful being to the bets of your ability. The hospital is full of tragedy and sadness, is it so wrong to want to bring some light and joy into the equation?

You can hear the trolley wheels clattering down the hall, this is it, time to meet your baby.

"Sorry I took so long Grace, are you ready?" Arizona smiles.
