I can't live without you.

You and I

You start to finally come round, you blink slowly, you can just about make out the top of the ceiling and you can smell Arizona's perfume. You can still feel her arms tight around you, as if she's protecting you. You can sense someone crouching over you.

"Hey Grace, it's okay, I'm going to lift you onto a gurney and we're going to get you checked out okay, you're going to be alright" Derek reassured. He lifts you off Arizona and carries you over to a gurney.

You are lifted into a hospital bed by Meredith, Derek and Arizona. Your head is spinning and you feel nauseous, you sleep it off. The Nurse's take your blood and do some tests on you. They keep an eye on you overnight. Meredith and Derek take Zola home, they didn't want to leave. Arizona reassured them that you wouldn't leave my side, and she would call if there were any updates. 

You slowly start to wake up and mumble. You see Arizona sleeping soundly on the chair next to your bed.

"Arizona" You croak. "Arizona" Nothing. You grab your call button and throw it on her lap. She jumps up looking alarmed.

"Grace?! You're awake! Oh Grace!" She cries. She hugs you gently.

"What happened Arizona? Why am I here?" You ask.

"You passed out Grace, do you not remember? We were in the bathroom and you passed out, you were out for like 10 minutes! You scared me!" Arizona crumbles in front of you and tears fall down her cheeks.

"Arizona, I'm okay, I promise" You grab her hand and squeeze it tight. 

"You should go back to sleep Grace, get your strength up, you were out for a long time. I'll wake you when the Nurse comes back okay?" Arizona smiles. She turns the light out and curls up on the chair with her laptop, getting ready for morning rounds!

You fall asleep almost instantly, only to be woken up by a Nurse an hour later for some repeat bloods. You decide to go and have a shower and freshen up. Arizona grabs a wheelchair and takes you to the locker room, she hands you a pair of her clean scrubs and waits outside the door for you. You shower and change and come out feeling revitalised.

"It's been a long time since I've seen you with such rosy cheeks Grace!" Arizona laughs. 

She helps you back down the corridor to your room. You end up having a deep conversation whilst waiting for your test results to come back. Arizona sits at the end of your bed whilst you listen intently to her advice. She said how lucky she was to find such a capable intern, and how she was so proud of you, and that she didn't know what she would do without you. She tells you how worried she was. You tell her that you'll be okay, and it was probably just stress that cause her to black out.

"Of course it would you be to reassure me Grace!" Arizona laughs.

"I'm so grateful for everything you've done for me Arizona, thank you for taking me on as your intern, and thank you for always looking out for me, you're my number 1!" You reply.

Arizona takes a deep breath, "Grace, can you shut your eyes for me?" Arizona urged.

"Okay?" You shut your eyes.

You can sense Arizona edging closer to you, you feel her warm hands gently cup your face and she kisses you passionately on the lips. 

You pull away shocked, you smile brightly and look deeply into her eyes, you pull her into you.

Her lips brush over yours like a wave of warmth and your body reacts instinctively. Your toes curl, your eyes zeroed in on hers, her smell even more hypnotic. The taste of her... it silences your thoughts and makes you want more.
