I can't live without you.

Surprise!

Arizona pulls up in the hospital car park, you both sigh. She kisses you discreetly, making sure that no one sees. She grabs both your bags and you both head into the hospital.

"Grace, if you wanna come over again tonight, I have a surprise?" Arizona smiles. 

"Uh, of course I wanna come over! Aww a surprise?!" You laugh

"Amazing! I'm so excited! But we need to get to rounds, or we'll be late!" Arizona laughs.

You both walk over to the elevator and get in. You lean over to Arizona.

"I'm really excited about tonight!" You whisper in her ear, you kiss her gently on her neck.

The doors of the lift open, Amelia walks in. You and Arizona quickly spring apart and busy yourself in a conversation about lab results.

"Hey kiddo! It's good to see you, you haven't been at home much recently! You been okay?" Amelia asks.

"Yeah, I'm okay thanks Aunt Amelia. I guess I'm trying to take everything in my stride you know? Embrace what's going on. Sorry I haven't spoken to you much recently, it's all just been a lot. Arizona has really been helping though, with everything about my pregnancy." You exclaim. Arizona smiles in your direction. 

"I'm glad you're okay Grace! I wanted to thank you Dr Robbins, for taking such good care of Grace, it's nice to have somebody to look out for her!" Amelia shakes Arizona's hand politely. 

"Nice to see you kiddo, make sure you message your Mom at some point, she's worried. Love ya" Amelia hugs you tightly and gets out of the elevator.

Arizona bites her lip nervously, "Grace, are you going to tell your Mom what's going on? Because I don't know how to feel, are you having doubts?" Arizona mumbles.

You tightly grasp her hands in yours and pull the emergency stop button in the elevator. "Dr Arizona Robbins, you mean the whole entire world to me, I don't know what I would do without you! I don't even know what my life is without you in it, I don't know who I am when you're not here! Every time you walk into a room, my heart beats a little faster and it feels like everyone else disappears. I can assure you, I'm not having doubts! I will tell my Mom, Arizona, I promise! I just need to know she's ready." You explain.

"Oh Grace, you know I feel exactly the same, I have since the first day I met you! You were a bundle of nerves and flustered because you were worried you were going to be late! And when you had your first scrub in surgery with me, and you saved a little boys life! That's when I knew Grace, that's when I knew, I wanted you and only you!" Arizona cries, she kisses you passionately on the lips, tears dripping down her face and onto your nose. She laughs, and teasingly licks them off. 

You turn the elevator back on, and the doors ping open. You both stroll onto the peds ward and get on with your day. You and Arizona have lunch together in the cafeteria, along with your Mom, Jackson, Alex and Cristina. After a few consults and an emergency page to the ER, you and Arizona get ready to head to back to hers. 

Arizona is fairly quiet during the car journey home, you offer to pay for take out. You suggested that you could watch a movie and snuggle down of the couch, seeing as it's been such a busy day and you've hardly seen each other. Arizona declines and you sit back in your seat, was it something you said? 

Arizona pulls up in her driveway and let's you into her house, you both take your shoes off quietly and head into the sitting room.

"Grace, can you give me 15 minutes? I just need to change, and then I really need to speak to you about something. Can you just stay in the sitting room? I just need to make a quick phone call, then I'll be with you" Arizona asks.
