"Ugh, Dad! I don't need you to carry everything!" You moan, as Meredith and Arizona fuss over you.

Today is the day. The day you finally get to go home. Yours and Arizona's home, you can finally feel safe and happy.

"Hey Derek, take my keys and go and bring my car round the front? Mer, please can you take my bag and tell Alex to help you load up the car? Me and Grace just need a minute." Arizona states.

Both of them leave with all of your luggage and go and prepare the car. Arizona sits down next to you and breathes a sigh of relief, she grasps your hand tightly and kisses you lightly on the lips. She notices your hands are clammy and your trembling.

"Hey, look at me. It's going to be okay Grace!" Arizona reassures.

"We're gonna be on our own Arizona, just me and you... We've been around so many doctor's and I'm safe here Arizona, if anything goes wrong, there's people around all the time! But when we go home, it's just gonna be us Arizona. We have Timothy now, I can barely lift him out of his crib on my own, how are we gonna do this baby? I'm scared." You stutter.

Arizona crouches down and picks up Timothy's car seat and puts it up gently on the bed, so Timothy is facing you.

"Look at this little face Grace! You can't hurt him, you're already the best mama he could ask for! I'm here Grace, I promised you that I would always look after you, and here I am! Alex and Callie came over to ours yesterday, and they helped me wash and iron all of Timothy's clothes, tidy and clean everywhere, so it's all ready for us to come back! You're ready Grace, I know you are!" Arizona explains.

You cup Arizona's face gently and kiss the tip of her nose. "I love you Arizona Robbins..." You whisper in her ear.

"Right, I think we're ready to make a move? Your Dad has pulled the car up, everything's ready to go!" Arizona smiles.

She helps you onto your feet and supports you with one arm, whilst grabbing Timothy's car seat with the other.

"Slowly Grace, take your time, there's no rush baby. You're doing amazing!" Arizona beams.

You slowly put one foot in front of the other, each step causing you more and more pain, but determined to make it to the car, you lean further into Arizona and keep going, causing you to break out into a light sweat and making you breathless.

"Hey, let's stop for a minute, I need to put Timothy down, he's getting heavy!" Arizona laughs.

Relived, you sit in a nearby wheelchair and catch your breath. Arizona rubs your shoulder, you lean into her and put your hand round her waist.

"Hey Grace, before we get home, I need you to make me a promise okay?" Arizona states quietly looking sad.

"Yeah sure, what's up baby?" You question.

"No more hospitals okay? No more getting hurt, no more playing the hero okay? I can't lose you Grace... Promise me!" Arizona pleads.

"Hey hey! I promise Arizona. Don't cry! Oh Arizona!" You get up hastily, ignoring the burning pain in your leg. You embrace her tightly and kiss her hard on the lips. "I'm not going anywhere! You can't get rid of me that easily Robbins!" You laugh, she eases up a little and smiles brightly, shaking her head.

"Let's go home" You smile. Arizona picks up Timothy's car seat and supports you with her free hand.

You finally make it to the front entrance, to see your friends and colleagues crying and clapping.

"Oh guys.. This is too much!!" You start to cry. Arizona wraps you in a tight embrace and whispers in your ear, "I'm so proud of you baby, today we start our new adventure, together."

Alex runs up to you and hugs you tightly. "How's my little man doing?" He smiles. He crouches down and strokes Timothy's head and tickles his foot. "You did good Grace" He looks up at you proudly.

Callie walks over to you both and tightly hugs you. "Hey Grace! So glad you can finally go home! Hey Robbins, make sure she stays off that leg as much as possible! I don't wanna see her back here in a few weeks with no progress, okay!" Callie laughs.

We're so proud of you Grace!" April smiles, she hands you a blue gift bag and a box of muffins, Jackson holds April's waist and smiles.

"Thank you so much for everything you guys. I just wanted to say thank you to each and everyone of you who looked after me and Timothy whilst we were here, because we sure needed it! Thank you for all of the gifts as well! Timothy is one lucky baby that's for sure! But I also wanted to say thank you to the people who looked after Arizona, when I wasn't able to. For making sure she ate, slept, took showers, and for making sure she knew she could talk to you. Because I'm hella sure, that she needed it, so thank you for looking after my babies." You smile and wipe the tears from your cheeks.

Everyone comes over to you one by one, and embrace you and speak to you briefly.

You can tell Arizona is waiting for them all to leave, so she can do this...

Arizona looks at you, stunned for words. She puts her forehead on yours and fiddles with your necklace that she brought you.

"Your safe baby, I'm here, no more hospitals, I promise" You mutter, just loud enough so that only she can hear it.

"Just you wait until tonight Grace, I have a few, hmm surprises for you, shall we say?" You feel her hot breath on your neck, your hands on her neck can feel her pulse quickening, you hear a car horn and pull apart quickly, flushed and excited.

"We'll finish this later..." You whisper, before getting Timothy strapped into the car.

Your Dad hops out and helps you in, him and Meredith wave you off and you snuggle down into your seat, shutting your eyes briefly. Comforted by Arizona's hand on your thigh and the sound of Timothy suckling on his pacifier.
