Running from the room in a panic, all three race towards the South West end of the Manor.

Their minds all on Hermione's eminent doom if she is in fact down there.

Anima Mea Visae Mihi is a dangerous room with looming ways to swallow it's victim's souls. It's how it survives. It feeds off of those so easily persuaded.

It's a like Boggart in the sense that it can understand what your scared of...but also, what you love and want.  As they weave through passages and search the ever changing landscape of their home- all begin to worry for the fate of the new Malfoy.

Getting to the door, they try to pull on the handles, but of course- they're locked.

"Hermione!!!" Draco begins banging on the door with his fist. "Hermione!!! Open up!!"

From under the door, they see the lights flickering in different colors. Draco bangs harder. His fear setting in deeper and deeper for his loved wife.

"Give her back!! Give her back!!!" He cries as he bangs on the door.

"Back away, Draco." Lucius commands as he pulls out his wand.

"Alohamora Maxima!" He throws the spell at the door and it doesn't budge. "Bombarda!"

Still the door doesn't open.

All three begin to throw spell after spell at the door, and yet not one allows them in.

Draco finally loses it.

He pounds on the door and kicks it and scratches at the grain before dropping to the floor.

"Please...take me...take me instead...please... she has so much worth. Please take me instead Anima Mea....I beg you...please... give..her...back." He wails and rocks back and forth and his parents know there's nothing they can do to console him. The light beneath the door burns bright and then in a flash it's permanently dark.

The air in his lungs is gone and his heart stops beating.

His mother, distraught at seeing her son before her crying like a new born baby- holds onto Lucius tightly, who bows his head into hers- wishing he could console the family he's worked so hard protecting.

***CREEEEEAAKKK***

The door opens up and Draco immediately falls backwards on his arse, looking at the dark room, where only a slight of light from the moon lives.

Beginning to scramble in, Lucius and his wife grab at Draco and stop him from entering.

Because very few who enter- leave.

"Hermione...please..." He reaches for the door, fear shuttering through his body. From the darkness the clicking of heels enters their ears and as they look up, there, coming to them without a scratch or sense of loss: Hermione joins them. She kneels in front of him and wraps her arms around him, but his parents immediately pull their wands on her.

"It's alright. I understand you all are scared and nervous- I've met her." They watch her eyes and wait for them to turn black, but they don't. Not a flicker. Not a glint that normally would accompany the possessed.

"Do you know your name?!" Lucius asks.

"Hermione Jean Granger. I was born September 19th, 1979 to Lydia and Paul Granger. I attended Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry from 1991-1998. The year is 2003 and it's July 20th." She prattles off and looks at Draco. "I know how to help her...and all of you, but you have to trust me."

"You were engulfed in that room! How do we know you're even the real Hermione?!" Narcissa asks and Hermione looks at Draco.

"What was the last thing I said to you the night of the Halloween Dance?" If she remembers this, then there's no way she isn't Hermione. Because he knows it was in that comment that she began falling for him harder. He could see it in her eyes. It was the first near confession he ever gave her back then.
