She couldn't take not knowing any more. She was going to find out and she was going to do it now. Sliding out of Draco's arms- as he slumbers peacefully in their bed, Hermione tries so hard not to wake him up.
It's only 6:37 and normally she doesn't leave for work until 7:45, but she needs to know. Her curious mind has a firm grip of her that she hardly slept at all last night.
"Mione..." His deep groggy voice calls her attention as she slips into her heels.
"Shh, Darling- go back to bed." She says, but it's too late. He's already up and walking to her- snuggling around her thin body and resting his head on her shoulder.
"Why are you dressed so early?"
"I have a few errands I need to run before I get to work."
"Hmm...can't you do it after work and stay in bed?" Kissing her barely exposed chest, he leaves a trail of kisses from her chest to her neck and jaw- before kissing her lips.
"No..." Sighing, he kisses her a few more times before looming into her eyes.
"Are you okay? Something's wrong- I can tell." Shaking her head, she smiles softly and leaves a chaste peck on his lips.
"Nothing's wrong. I promise." She pulls away and sends him back towards the bed. "Go back to sleep."
"About yesterday—."
"What about it?"
"I'm sorry about my parents."
"No, Draco- It's fine. I wasn't bothered by them." She insists, but he doesn't believe her. "Maybe we should visit my parents this weekend. Tell them about us. I know they'll love it, because of how much they love you."
She hasn't talked to her parents since the failed wedding ceremony.
She isn't so sure how they will take the news of her eloping- mostly because she tells them everything and anything- so this may be the tipping point of their relationship.
"Yeah, I'd love to see them again." He happily, but tiredly says.
"Good...I have to go. I'll talk to you later?" Leaning forward, he presses his lips to hers, holds his hands firmly on her waste and wishes she didn't have to leave.
"Lunch today?"
"I can't- not today. I promised Harry and Ginny that I would meet them. They have something they want to talk to me about- so..."
"Oh, no— that's alright. I just thought I'd offer." He sweetly says, but inside he's crushed. He just wants to spend as much time with her as possible. He loves her so much and he already spent such a long time without her. He's afraid if he goes too long without her- she'll either leave him again for another how many years.
Or.
He'll wake up from this dream only to find he never really had her.
"I'm sorry, Sweetheart. I can reschedule with them."
"No! No, really, it's fine. I should probably go see if my Father needs help demolishing the house." He lies and she smiles weakly. "I gave the guys off today- so I have a free day to do random shit, so..."
"Well, just be careful doing your random shit. Alright?"
"Alright." Kissing him one last time, she grabs her purse and aparates from the home. Landing in an alleyway just two storefronts away from a convenience store, Hermione catches her breath before journeying out of the darkened space.
We'll just get a test, take it and go from there.
But when we get there...what do we do about Draco?
