Walking into her son's pub, Narcissa Malfoy looks at the few patrons who are here at this time. The men who are stationed at the bar are chatting about something Muggle. When they notice her, they distinctly remember her being related to their boss and friend.
"Mrs. Malfoy, how can we help you?" Rodney calls from behind the bar.
"I'm looking for Hermione. Is she here or work?" The boys look at each other and then at her.
"She's upstairs. Been there the last few days." Hines answers. "Haven't seen Draco in weeks, Ma'am."
"I know where my son is. I'm only interested in Hermione." She says and excuses herself down the hallway to the apartment door. Opening up the door, she heads upstairs and when she gets to the door, she takes a moment to adjust her her blouse and then her skirt before knocking on the door.
Waiting patiently, she hears feet padding across the floor and locks being turned.
"Hello....Mrs. Malfoy..." The girl's eyes are red from crying and she's dressed in gray sweatpants and one of Draco's black t-shirts. "Draco's not here."
She painfully says.
She has felt terrible all week.
Weeks actually.
But today is far worse than the others.
Something just doesn't feel right.
"I'm not looking for Draco. I'm here to see you." She says with a slight snarl to her voice.
"Well... I'm not feeling well so..." Hermione begins, but she knows Narcissa will not be dismissed.
"Yes, well- I am here to discuss some of my bigger concerns about you and my son." Like everything else in her life- Narcissa only ever believes that her son is an Angel and the light of the world- unable to do anything wrong or be the cause of problems.
"Narcissa...please..." Hermione pleads and before she says anything else, clutches her sides and curls forward, groaning. "Owe..."
"What's wrong with you?" Looking at the girl, she notices that this doesn't seem like a lie or even just a common illness.
"No...nothing..." Hermione tries to shut the door, but Narcissa is stronger than the weakened girl.
"Let me in. You obviously need help." She steps in and shuts the door. The apartment is clean, except Narcissa can't help but notice a few drops of blood on the floor- trailing to where Hermione is standing. "Are...are you bleeding?"
"N....no...owe...." She curls over again and as she and Narcissa look down, the gray sweatpants become wet with liquid.
"Let's...let's get you into bed, while I figure out what to do." She takes Hermione by the arm and walks her across the apartment to the bedroom, when she passes the bathroom, she notices a white sheet hanging up on the shower bar covered in blood. Her eyes widen and she feels sick to her stomach. Getting Hermione down into bed, Hermione curls over on herself laying sideways in bed, crying in agony. "What can I do? Hermione? What can I get you?"
Panic sets in.
She notices as Hermione curls up that the whole backside of her pants are covered in blood.
She knows exactly what's happening.
It makes her sick at her own memory.
"Let me get Draco." Narcissa says and Hermione manages to reach up and catch her arm.
"No...Don't..." She cries and pleads to the older woman.
"But he should..."
"H...he...doesn't know..." Hermione cries and another cramp hits her hard. "Ah...ahhoweee..."
