chapter 4

That morning I woke up before sasuke did, his head was still on my high, my hand was on his shoulder, where I'd left it when I'd fallen asleep. Sasuke shifted a little, his face now visable. He looked so peacful when he slept. I too almost fell asleep watching his back gently rise and fall as he breathed, he was simply, peaceful.  And then he woke up. I was a little saddened that I couldn't watch him sleep, it was like watching a small child or animal sleeping, his ear or finger would twich a little while he was dreaming.

Sasuke woke up and lifted his head, a half smile across his face." Hey," he said.

" hey sasuke, you didn't leave." I stated, a loving smile curling across my face.

" yea, I know. It just goes to show how much I care about you." Sasuke said, he pulled me close, and hugged me tightly. I felt a single tear run from my face, because he cared so much, for someone, in this world, I was his girlfriend, but in the world I knew him from. He loved nothing except the thought of killing his brother, then destroying the leaf after.

We hugged for a while. It was so comforting, I didn't want to let go. But had to eventually.

Sakura and Hinata came in shortly after, joined by kiba and akamaru.

" hey guys," I said

"Go ahead, boy" kiba said. On cue akamaru jumped from kibas head onto my lap. I laughed as kiba sat down." He sure does like you, I don't know why exactly, he was begging me to see ya today. So I came."

" who can say no to such a lovable pup, he just so lovable." I said, akamaru then did something even kiba nor I would ever expect, he jumped on my head and sat there, as if I were kiba.

" what the... Hey, akamaru!" Kiba said surprised, " what's with you lately, your so weird these last few days."

" ah let him stay, the reaction on naruto and everyone else's face will be priceless." I said. Hinata blushed at narutos name as expected.

Later on naruto, shikamaru, shino, choji and kakashi walked in. And as I said, the looks on their faces were pricless.

" don't you dare judge the guy, got it," I said. And as if on cue akamaru barked in agreement.

" uh...um...o...kay,  I guess..." Naruto said utterly in shock.

"Come on guys, let's play some monopoly." I said cheerfully." You ready shikamaru? Don't get scared this time okay?" I taunted.

" hell yea. I'll beat you epically this time." He said.

We played monopoly and he did beat me, but I let him. He dropped his guard slightly were I could have beat him had I not "accidentally" baught a property when I could've baught the one before. It was not epically but shikamaru was proud of himself.

" we should play shogi some time, it would be fun." I said.

" yea it would be fun."

" ya know, I think that if the world were like a game of shogi, the king would be the yonger generation of smart, determined ninja willing to do what's right." I said. I'd decided to have a little fun and copy quotes from others.

" asuma sensei said the same thing one day," shikamaru said.

" they say great minds think alike." I said, that was my cover for knowing some things.

We all talked and played games until noon. When tsunade walked in.
