(Y/N) POV

We took the plans back to the Brotherhood for them to build.

When they asked where we got them I simply shrugged them off, telling them I wouldnt reveal my sources.

I got yelled at by Maxson but what's new.

They started working on the teleported instantly, having trouble reading the messy, scribble handwriting of The mutant.

Until finally FINALLY, it was complete.

Danse and I stood in the middle of the airport, infront of the machine.

"... I dont like this..."

He grumbles, making me laugh.

"You dont like a lot of things."

"... I like you..."

He says, making me smile and slightly blush.

We stand for a minute more, side by side, both our arms crossed over our chests.

"Ok!"

We both turned around to see Procter Ines walking towards us with a check list in her hand.

"It appears everything's up to scratch. The crew and I are going to be-"

She points up and Danse and I follow her gaze.

"-standing on that viewing deck. If something goes wrong we'll shut down the power. Make sure you've got everything you need before leaving... oh and-"

She hands me a small device.

"If you find a terminal plug this into it. It'll download any information it can reach."

I nod and pocket it.

Danse now pipes up.

"Can I bring my power armour?"

Ines looks from me to him,

"You wont be going at all, Paladin."

She says, leaving us both stund, and turns on her heel to leave.

"Wait- what do you mean?"

I ask,

She turns back around, looking exasperated.

"Well the teleporter can only hold one person. So only one person can go. And that's you."

She points at me, as if it was obvious.

She leaves before either of us can speak up again.

"... I hate this..."

"You hate everything..."

I whisper out, a little more nervous now.

I look over at Danse who has forrowed eyebrows and is watching Ines walk away with an expression of annoyance mixed with surprise.

"Hey..."

I gentle touch his should then trail my hand down his arm to intertwine with his.

"I'll be fine. I'm tough, I can handle anything."

He looks down at me, hes not wearing his power armour right now but hes still pretty tall.

"... I know..." he leans down and gives me a soft, gentle kiss on the forehead.

"But I still worry."

He pulls away, and stands back up to his full height.

I'm about to say more when Ines yells from the viewing deck for me to step onto the platform.
