10. Man of Steel

Danse POV

I quickly shielded (Y/N) from the bullet and it clanged against my armour as we both scrambled out the way.

I continued to shoot at the approaching synths as (Y/N) attempted to calm herself down.

"Hes not- hes not here... oh my god..."

She gripped her hair, tears running down her cheeks.

"(Y/N) please you need to stay with me here-"

I said as I managed to get a shot on Kellogg who winced and then went invisible.

I grimaced, wondering where he could be as I hurriedly turned back to (Y/N),

She was staring at me, her eyes wide but now she looked ready to fight.

Even if her hands were shaking.

"Ok... ok you take care of the synths I've got Kellogg ok?"

I told her and she nodded, I gave her shoulder one last squeeze before we burst out from our hiding place.

Luckily for us the three synths had bunched up and so (Y/N) threw a molotov at them, and they all burned and sizzled.

Two out of the three stepped out of the flames and split up, obviously learning from their first mistake.

I had my gun trained on the one when-

"DAMN-"

(Y/N) screamed as an invisible force slammed into her, I raced up to her but one of the synths shot at me very very close to my neck.

Kelloggs form slowly came back into visibility and (Y/N) shoved her gun into his face, knocking him off her and making him clutch at his bleeding nose.

I was busy taking out the synths while (Y/N) was dealing with Kellogg.

Guess we had traded places.

I took out the last one as I sprinted towards it and crushed it between the wall and my power armour.

"DANSE-"

I heard her call and as I turned I could see her attempting to scramble away from something.

I could see something invisible disturb the air around it and started shooting.

Kellogg became visible again but that didnt stop him from lunging at (Y/N)!

The two rolled behind one of the terminals and I sprinted after them,

Kellogg was once again gone and (Y/N) was leaning on her elbows, her face a bloody mess and her gun a few steps away from her.

I bent down to help her up when I felt the cold barrel of a gun against my neck.

"Dont move..."

Kellogg purred in my ear and I could see the terror in (Y/N) eyes as she looked up at the man who was standing behind me.

I gave her hand a squeeze and before she could protest I grabbed her upper arm and shoved her towards her gun before swiping at Kelloggs legs.

The bullet just missed my head but hit my shoulder and now i could feel it since his gun was basically ontop of me.

I grunted and tried to scramble out the way but he stood over me, putting a boot on my shoulder and pushing down, making it turn a way it shouldn't.

I lifted my gun with my free hand but he knocked it out my grasp and no matter how hard I tried to shove him off it did nothing.

It's like he had super strength!
