14. So This Is Love?

Danse POV

I quickly shook my head to try get rid of the heat in my cheeks.

It didnt do much,

So I sighed and gave up, following (Y/N) up the stairs and towards where Nick was.

We walked past the lady in the red gown and straight to Nick who was hunched over on one of the velvet couches.

"Nick..."

(Y/N) said, arms crossed over her chest as I took up a position beside her.

Nick looked up and for a moment I barely recognised the wicked grin that crossed his face.

"Hehe hope you got what you were looking for inside my head. Heh, I was right, should of killed you when you were still on ice."

(Y/N) took a step back then grabbed Nick's shoulder and shook him a little, her eyes wide.

"What did you just say?"

Nick blinked a few times and brought his gaze to (Y/N) then to me then back to (Y/N),

"Hmm? What? What are you talking about?"

Nick asked, confused

(Y/N) turned over her shoulder to look at me and I just furrowed my brows, confused.

Once she got my confirmation that she wasnt the only one that heard Kelloggs voice, she turned back to Nick.

" You sounded like Kellog just then..."

She explained hesitantly and pulled back from him, standing up straight once more.

"Did I?"

Nick furrowed his brows in thought then gave us an apologetic look.

" Amari said there might be some 'mnemonic impressions' left over... anyway i feel fine,so Let's get going!"

(Y/N) raised her eyebrows at Nick and looked to me but I just shrugged, not sure what to even say.

"We have to head into the glowing sea, any advice?"

She asked, quickly changing the subject.

" Hmm... I'm an old synth so radiation isn't much of an issue for me. But an old suit of power armour just might be the guardian angle your looking for."

He tapped his foot on the floor,

"That or you could buy up all the Rad-X and Radaway you can find from any chem dealer who's got it in stock."

I tapped (Y/N) on the shoulder,

"We both have power armour so we should be alright."

I told her and she nodded,

"I already have one. Back at Sanctuary, Preston Garvey and the Minetmen are taking care of that place. My power armour's there, it might need some TLC but it should hold."

She sighed,

"We might have to fix it up. But it should work just fine."

I was going to offer her one of the suits on the Prydwen.

But then we'd have to explain to Maxson why we needed it, and I dont think that would go over well...

"We can pick up my power suit at Diamond City then head to Sanctuary."

I say, and she nods again.

"I'm sure everyone back there misses us!"

She grinned and gave me a light punch on the shoulder.
