Once Danse and I had got patched up at the doctors in Diamond City,

We headed over to Goodneighbor.

It was obvious Danse felt uncomfortable.

Again he had abandoned his power armour at Nick's place and was now wearing his orange Paladins uniform with a bomber jacket over it and boots.

And of course his dog tags.

All the ghouls in the city kept eyeing him,

Some with hatred, others with curiosity, and then there were those few who giggled and whispered behind their hands as their eyes gazed up and down at him.

Danse was trying to use me as a shield, walking behind me.

But because of how tall he was it didnt really work and he just looked like a child, with his shoulders hunched and following right at my heels.

At the third group of ghouls that glanced with appreciation at him, I rolled my eyes and grabbed his hand basically hanging on him.

He looked a little startled at first but got the message and allowed me to do so, standing up straighter so it didnt look as awkward.

He slowly, awkwardly and nervously, wrapped one arm around my waist as I did the same to him.

It seemed to work because now the ghouls turned away.

Even those who gave him looks of disgust.

We had to look around for a while before we actually noticed the big obvious glowing sign that said

Memory Den

We had somehow missed it and only noticed it on the third walk around the small town.

Danse pushed open the door for me, letting go of me in the process and I smiled in thanks as I walked in with him just behind me.

"Well well, mister Valentine. I thought you had forgotten about little old me."

Danse and I entered a huge room, lost of the colours were red but there were a few purples and yellows.

A woman in a extravagant dress lounged on a long red couch, her feet up on it and one hand behind her head.

She was talking to Nick who stood infront of her with his hands in his pockets.

"May have walked out on the den Irma. But I'd never walk out on you."

Nick said, smiling down at his shoes before looking back up at Irma.

"Amari's done stairs you big flirt."

Nick quickly thanked her and turned over his shoulder to look at Dande and I.

"Perfect timing you two. Let's go."

He waved his hand to signal us to follow and we did as we were told.

He went through a corridor and down some stairs before turning right to find-

"Doctor Amari?"

Nick asked as we entered a much less red room.

A woman turned around, she had jet black hair that was pulled neatly into a tight bun, a strict face with bright red lips and to complete the look she had on a crisp white jacket.

I havent seen something so white in a long time, it hurt my eyes to stare at it for too long.

"Nick? ... I take it this isn't a social call."

She sighs and sets her note book down.

"This one's all yours Nick..."

I say, not sure where to even start with our whole dilemma.
