after class had ended i walked out of the dojo with demetri, "you think eli's okay?" i asked him. "i don't know." was all he replied. we both walked in silence before i had enough of the awkwardness, "i'm gonna get going." i told the boy and he nodded. "see you." i said before going my own way.

i had went home and when i walked inside i was met with my mother and a man, sitting at the couch, glasses of wine in their hands. "hi." i awkwardly said, not knowing who this man was. i dropped my bag to the ground and kicked my shoes off. "honey this is pete." my mother said as she looked over to me. "hello." the man said. "this is lucia." my mom said as she gestured over to me. i slowly walked towards the couch, "how are you?" the man asked. "fine." i answered. we all kind of awkwardly looked at one another, "well i'm gonna get going- i got homework." i told them, breaking the silence. "alright sweetie." my mom said. "nice meeting you." pete said and i just quickly waved before walking up the stairs to my bedroom.

when i got to my room i shut the door behind me, locking it. i walked over to my bed and opened up my macbook. my phone had ended up dying so i had plugged it into the charger before turning back to my laptop. i had opened up the messages and texted eli, "you good?" i sent. i sat at my bed, staring at the screen as i awaited a response. "yeah" was all i got. "see you tomorrow?" i said. "see you" was all eli had sent back. i stared at the screen for a second before i shut the laptop and lie down in my bed, the next thing i knew i had fallen asleep.
