twenty-five

i wore a bikini and flip flops as i walked to the beach shore, i had seen my friends and saw that moon saw me so i waved. she waved back from where she lie on her towel, tanning. i walked over and dropped my bag as moon sat up. "hey." she said. "hey how you doing?" i asked. "im good." moon replied. "i was waiting for you." she said. "oh well sorry about the wait." i answered. "no it's fine." she said and shrugged as she got up off the ground. 

we both walked over to some of the others who were playing volleyball. demetri went to swerve the ball but it just hit into the net. "good one demetri." i joked as moon and i walked closer. "i'm a pro." demetri responded and shrugged. hawk turned around and i saw his face light up a little bit when he saw us walk over. i walked towards demetri so that hawk could be with his girlfriend but little did i know, he was looking at me. "water break." demetri said as he walked towards his towel and wiped his face. i saw two girls walk by and notice his cobra kai towel. 

"cobra kai? you guys won that tournament, right?" one of them asked demetri. "the all valley? the rumble in reseda?" demetri asked as he swung the towel over his shoulder. "yes, um..we certainly did." the boy said as he leaned against the volleyball net. i looked over to hawk and smiled at the encounter that was happening between demetri and the girls, he looked upset that demetri was using cobra kai to seem cool when he wasn't even apart of the group, which made it more funny to me. "cool." the girl replied. "we're gonna go for a swim, but maybe play with you later?" she asked demetri. "most def." demetri responded, trying to seem cool. "uh that means "most definetly." never mind, i thought. both the girls laughed before they walked off. 

"look at you." i said with a smile as i walked up to demetri. "it'd be nice if you earned the cobra kai cred you're so happy to take. when are you ever gonna sign up?" hawk asked demetri and shrugged. "i don't know. i'm kind of enjoying the gain without the pain." demetri responded. i put my hand on demetri's shoulder and he looked over to me. "you should join." i said and patted his back before i walked away and over to bert and moon.
