"I shouldn't be here." I muttered as I got into the club. Karma was called.
"Don't say that." Martina wrapped her arm around mine and pulled me forward. "Come on, I'm not drinking either, I'm on a diet for the wedding."
"The guys are there." Riley pointed to what seemed like a private area, with couches and low tables.
Riley invited me to get dressed with them for Saturday night. She wanted to know me better, outside from our appointments, and that meant, going out with them. I was glad they counted me in, but I was nervous. I wasn't used to having girl friends, and till the moment, I was acting a little weird. Martina said I was funny and loved that I was straightforward, but that's what I did when I was nervous. The boys arrived first, they went to the velvet lounge first to have a few drinks while we got ready.
"Urgh. I'm hating Ace today." Martina scrunched up her nose. "But he looks so good."
"Why do you hate him?" I frowned. We still hadn't taken a step as we examined the place.
"I don't hate him. He's just mad I'm on a diet, but what can I say, dude, I put on weight since we started living together because he can't stop cooking delicious food and I need to get inside that wedding dress." She sighed. "Come on, I promise we won't fight." She said, pulling us forward to meet them.
When we stepped into the private area, the guys were laughing and didn't even notice we were there, until Nico raised up at his head, as if he felt us, turning back around.
He smiled and opened his arms. "Hello, bébé." I walked over and wrapped my arms around his waist, Nico holding me tight. We hadn't seen each other since he dropped me off at home after that amazing night at the hotel. We did it four times more the other day and now I felt like I could never get enough of it, even if I couldn't sit down for the next few days.
The girls greeted the guys, Martina placing a light kiss on Ace's cheek while he remained serious. He bit the corner of his mouth, really focused on his drink as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.
Luca and Riley did some weird handshake that ended with a kiss on their thumbs. It was cute, I had never seen them do it. There were also a few other guys, some of them I recognized from Martina's birthday party.
Another guy came behind us, a waiter following him with buckets of ice and bottles of alcohol. "If we need anything we need to talk to him."
Wait a second. I recognized the guy.
"Cam." I smiled, approaching him.
"Hey, blondie." He ran a hand through his dark hair. "You disappeared." He breathed out.
"Yeah, I got a little drunk." Nico watched me from a distance, rolling a cigarette as he talked to Luca.
Another guy appeared, yelling and hugging Martina like they hadn't seen each other in years. I heard her yell Ethan, Nathan or something like that.
Cam laughed, watching them. "Well, let's hope that doesn't happen tonight." He glanced down at my hands. "You're not drinking anything. There's no cider in here... wanna go down to the bar and order one?" I thought he said if we needed anything we could ask that waiter.
"Mhm, no, actually, I'm not drinking tonight."
"Oh. Why's that?"
"I... I usually don't drink, you know, being an athlete and all."
"I understand." He nodded with a smile. "Wanna go dance?"
I glanced back at Nico, who was now having a conversation with a few girls that had just arrived. Then I turned, my eyes trying to find Riley or Martina. They were behind me.
