My phone burned in my hand. I had really tried to wait for a day, maybe two, to text her. But I couldn't. Yeah, I was gonna see her tomorrow, but those minutes before and sometimes after our sessions weren't enough for me.

hey it's nico

just wanted to text you so you can save my number

:)

Simple. I had an excuse.

However, about two hours of having written that text, it seemed like the worst idea I had ever had. Why wasn't she replying? She had read it about ten minutes after I sent it.

Okay, Nico. You've never been like this. You look like a teenager.

Since I was in the mood of hating girls in general I decided to distract myself with a masculine presence. I wanted to look for a new guy, I wasn't really one to get attached, but when I knew something was good, why not doing it again? I needed an easy escape, someone that I knew I could have fun with. Feel empowered and confident. Not someone as explosive and dominant as Linda. Plus, as I said, girls were not in today's menu. I needed someone who I hadn't seen in almost two weeks.

"Hello?"

"Caden, hey."

"Hi." He sounded nervous. "How-" he cleared his throat. "How's everything going?"

"Excellent. Are you alone?" I knew he wasn't, hence his nervousness.

"I'm with my girlfriend." He mumbled.

"Is she on speaker?" I asked playfully.

"No."

"Good. How about you ditch her and I fuck that little, pretty ass of yours?"

Caden made a deep sound, almost choking on his saliva.

"You know you want it."

"I'll be there in thirty." He whispered before hanging up.

Staring at my text one last time, I threw my phone to the bed and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I needed to get my mind off that girl and focus on a certain skater boy.

"Bonjour." Caden said adorably when I opened my apartment door.

I chuckled. This was exactly what I needed.

"Come in." I gave him a quick nod with a little smile and stepped aside to let him in. Luca and Ace were in the living room watching a soccer -football for me- game. Beers and pizza boxes were scattered all around the coffee table and the floor. They tried to convince me to watch it but I had never been interested in sports. I wasn't very hungry and I didn't drink, so yeah. Party pooper on the line, who's calling?

Caden opened his eyes a little wider when he saw the scenery. He glanced at me quickly in panic.

"Hey." Ace gave him an amused nod, beer in hand. He might have sensed the twenty one year old embarrassment.

"Sup, Bro." Luca muttered as he chew on his pizza.

"Hi." Caden simply said. I gestured for him to follow me and he started whispering. "I didn't know your roommates were here."

"It's Monday." I said as a simple explanation. "Want anything to drink?"

"Do you have like... something strong? I need a shot."

"Long day?" I asked as I rummaged through the kitchen cabinets.

"My girlfriend is driving me crazy, I don't know why I'm still with her. She thinks she can control me."
