In a trance. That's how I felt since Cara shook my hand and left me standing there. I got home after it and Luca was not there, he was working one day more a week now since the season had already started. I needed to talk to someone and my friends in Paris were already forgetting me. It was my fault too and to be honest, they were never the kind of friends who you could rely on about important things. They liked to party, get drunk by the river and talk about art and how bohemian and free spirit they were, and they couldn't even buy a chewing gum without asking their rich daddy for money.

I was the same though, that's why I decided to leave. It sickened me. Luca really opened my eyes and made me see things with perspective and I really needed to talk to him right now.

Walking to his bedroom at the other side of the apartment, I felt like a detective as I rummaged through his things. I needed to find out where he worked, since he didn't text back. Maybe I should ask Riley and get this over with, but this was ten times more fun. I opened his laptop and found out he was shopping for jewelry?

This guy is weird.

I opened a file and saw that at the head of the page, there was an address. It was from a soccer club so I guessed it was where he worked at. I drove there, hoping he wouldn't have left for lunch.

He didn't.

"Hey yo! What are you doing here?" Luca asked when he approached his car. I didn't know where he would be at, and this place was huge. So I spotted his white car and leaned on it as I waited for him to get out. Linda was walking behind him. Great. I had been kind of ignoring her, hope she didn't mind.

"I can't believe my eyes! Nico, the busiest man alive is here!" Linda exclaimed when she saw me. Okay, she didn't look happy.

I smiled tightly. "I was hoping we had lunch together." I glanced back at Luca.

"Sure!" Linda blurted out. "That way you can explain why you've been ignoring me." She smiled like a maniac.

I came up with an excuse faster than I thought possible. "I'm sorry, I have a new phone. My last one's broken." I high-fived myself when I saw she totally bought it.

"Oh, okay, then." She shrugged and glanced at Luca. Who was standing there waiting for Linda to put her knives away. "We were going to that new sushi place."

I was really hoping I could talk to Luca alone, but I guess the Colombian girl was going to tag along too.

"How come you're here?" Luca asked again as we got into his car. I was going for the seat in the front but Linda beat me to it. Now I felt like their kid, even though I looked nothing alike to the exotic couple.

"I wanted to talk to you." I mumbled.

"Is it about her?" Luca asked sensing my tone as he put on his glasses, before he started the car.

"Who?" Asked Linda, her head swinging back and forth from the two of us, like a lost puppy.

"Yeah." I mumbled again, hiding my bottom lip inside my mouth.

"Bro, I swear you're obsessed with her." Luca laughed pulling out of the parking lot.

"Who?!" Linda asked a bit louder.

"This Russian figure skater. She's Riley's patient." Luca explained.

That's when I put two and two together. Okay, maybe Luca did it for me. Her last name was Belinsky, her family and she had all blonde hair almost white, green eyes and pale skin. The only one who was a bit different was Sandro, who had dirty blond curly hair and that's because his mother might look different. Her father cursed in another language, Emmett though, didn't look like them. Maybe her mother was from this country.
